I love when Conan throws sweet funny jabs at Sona's family. Conan, you rock the USA!
I've never seen Sammy Davis Jr. Transform into Dennis Miller but Conan is a comedy genius so here we are 😂😂😂
Sona: Many fruit trees skip a season. Apples do quite frequently. Not usually a complete skip, but certainly one year will be far less productive than the previous year, and if the tree gets pruned incorrectly, or there's disease issues, you could potentially have zero fruit for a year. Also important to note is... is... sorry, my fez flew away and I forgot what I was going to write.

My avocado tree is like this. One year we'll have so many that we and everyone we know well enough to hand a bag to are eating guacamole with every meal for months, and the next we're buying our avocados at the store when we need some.

100 yrs from now Conan would still be the most original. Such much creativity and passion in making all of us happy! Thank you so much sir, you've brightened even the darkest days for me and I'm sure you've heard that so many times over the years. I feel a life is well spent even if it brightened the day of just one!
Conan is wrong, ever since this podcast started, hell, even since I began watching his late night show, all I've pondered is if Conan has a fruit tree. Thank you for finally providing me with solace. This is honestly one of the best intros!
@florianadolf2256
9 ай бұрын
Well, *that* - and what that fruit would actually be, most of all. Would it be something proper, like a nice apple tree? Or something more exotic, like a mirabelle or a prune plum tree? Or, let's just draw out the old stereotype and assume that he has a fine little, neatly cultivated potatoe patch in his garden - no tree, whatsoever. We still have no clear answer to that question, though. But one hell of an intro, that's for sure👌
I love at 3:00 when Sona starts talking about guavas, Conan closes his eyes in disbelief and dejection like “why are they doing this to me?” like a parent watching toddlers destroy a house after its just been cleaned.
Bley is one of Conan's prized possessions.
At 6:49 , Matt with the Quick Change (1990) reference, 10/10!

Conan’s revolving cast of characters around him, basically his staff, is such a gift. I’m glad they don’t overuse it too. That said, this had me laughing out loud even after rewatching it for the third time.
Conan finally turned into the old prospector he pretended to be for years. 😂

Golden moments, Conan was able to just keep the momentum and add and add when Sona was losing it. Those are my favorite kind of jokes, the ones that just iterate and build up because you got 1 laugh so now it's a game of how many jokes can you string together! You've won when your audience is crying laughing on the floor rolling around
Conan's Dennis Miller-having-a-stroke character had me crying laughing when I heard it the first two times on Sirius. Watching it had the same effect. When he finds the zone, hilarity ensues.
(makes fun of Bley for suggesting fruit tree) (Goes whole ten minute Convo about it)

I'm glad this is up. As a frugiphile, I'm 100% behind Bley in his suggestion of the lore of fruit trees in SoCal as a topic!
So Conan's character is a mix of Pop-Eye, Dennis Miller, a comic having a stroke and I'd add Tony Cliffton to that xD

This is Conan's best/funniest character I have ever seen. So good, that you can build a movie around him!- so good, that you could call the film "the whole foods guy" and still be the best hit of the year :DDDDD man, that made me laugh so hard and cheered me up for the day, fewwww :))
They turned home-grown fruit into comedy gold. 😄
I'd never have guessed that what my life needed was Dennis Miller Popeye
"No one laughed at that...not even to be nice." 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
"My teeth fell out" 😂😂😂
I realized that every time sona laughs like crazy Conan drags the joke. Love it!
I genuinely love how Conan just casually mentions Sopwith Camels in jokes even though he knows 90 % of people won't appreciate that joke
Conan mentions Dennis Miller, but is also channeling Andrew Dice Clay very hard as well.
This intro was gold!
That Dennis Miller impression was a real lemon. 🥁
Conan says he's trying to save the audience from banality and yet this is 99 percent of conversations at the office lol
When Conan said "banality," I was hoping Matt would say bananality. 😂
I want more Bley and Conan banter! Hilarious
Conan had me laughing so hard (crying), I scared my 🙀 🙀. There aren't too many comedians that can make me laugh till I can't breathe.
I’ve never heard Conan try to do Dennis Miller🤣 Actually really good!😂
I'd love a Conan/Bley gardening and fruit tree segment. Might just inspire someone to grow some food.
Just the fact that Conan is basically an old fashion simpsons episode in human form, he brings his cohorts into his madness and they all turn on him and he just turns it into comedic madness is amazing. 😅
The impression started out as Don Adams as Maxwell Smart as Johnny Carson, and then spiralled into chaos.
If they skipped the celebrity guests and just these four chatted for an hour, I would listen to every minute of every podcast.
Conan has no idea how much we all actually would rather hear a discussion about fruit trees than a majority of the other things they talk about lol
The voice conan started doing sounded like Tony Clifton, the Andy Kaufman character lol
Maybe the best opening of this podcast to date, loved that Conan just went full on silly mode when he saw he had the whole room laughing. Such a wholesome visual seeing him just have fun and everyone pushing him to keep going!
Conan’s comedic talent dwarfs these Lilliputians 😂

Am I the only one who's ears perked up when the topic of fruit trees came up? I'm with Bley I wanna hear what fruit trees each of them has haha. As a kid I had a large yard that in the city, yet it included grapes, pomegranates, avocados, peaches, cherries, lemons, grapefruits, oranges, and figs. It was just a rental but somehow my mom struck gold by choosing this house. I thought it was the coolest thing to see fruit growing on a tree and to be able to pick it fresh whenever we wanted.
BLEY!!!!!!!
Conan’s impression is like Dennis Miller combined with Sammy Davis Jr.
Love how they egged on Conan at the end to continue his comedian schtick longer than he would have.
That's not a bad suggestion from Bley :) Could be cool to hear about Conan's garden, if he has fruit trees or something else.
This just proves how good they are at being entertaining. Give me and my friends the same topic, and there's no way anyone other than us, would listen it for more than 30 seconds. They did it for 10 minutes and I want more.
How is this for analysis of Conans brain? - He didnt land the first joke on Wholefoods, so he took that personaly and went down 10X harder. And saved the day. This was one of the funniest intros ever :)
"Welcome to O'Brien Orchards! Growing resentment for everyone around you!"
And that turned out to be the best intro ever... 😅
