As much as I already loved Conan, (Fan since 1996)I actually gained more respect for him from that interview. It was complete mind over matter for him to be so lucid in moments of excruciating pain

Out of all the absolute scumbag late night hosts out there right now, Fallon always gets the most hate for the smallest things. He’s one of the more tolerable ones on mainstream tv. Plus, believe it or not, he is actually talented. He deserves a little more respect.

Met and served Conan, his wife and his boy at a bar I worked at a hotel in London. We got plenty of celebrities through, but none really struck me the way Conan did, I grew up watching his show. He noticed that I was kind of lost for words and I told him how much I adored him and his work. He couldn't have been sweeter, despite being with his family just enjoying dinner and a few drinks, yet both him and his wife were so warm and friendly. Felt like he was more interested in me than I was in him, which was really unexpected. Conan deserves all the flowers. Truly a man of the people.

I love stories like this. Years ago I worked in PR and heard stories from limo drivers (who I knew really well as we were constantly booking cars for celebs to go to junkets, premieres, awards shows, etc). Word has it, George Clooney was notorious for bringing a plate of food out to his drivers when he was at premieres/parties knowing they had to wait for him until he was ready to leave. Never broadcasted it or was filmed doing it, that is good karma man.

Both Conan and his good friend and former head writer Robert Smigel have talked about how they wanted to try their best to do "evergreen" comedy. Most comedy has a shelf life, and if you're doing topical humor, that shelf life is even shorter. But Conan's remotes are still as funny now as they were 20 years ago. Conan playing old-timey baseball, or Conan going to the Lincoln museum, those will still be funny 20 years from now. I mean no disrespect to either Seth Meyers or Stephen Colbert, I think they have wonderful writers and they're great performers, but there's little to no reason to go back and watch their late night clips even a week later.

Conan is one of the best to ever do it in late night - zany, wildly original, genuinely funny - he could come back right now and smoke EVERYBODY.

Conan crushed this visit. Took total control. Brilliant.

I’ve loved Conan for so long he’s hilarious. I used to always watch the tonight show and late night but I never again watched jay leno after they took the show away from Conan. I know nbc had the final say but jay knew that as soon as he said he wanted to come back that he was ripping the show away from Conan. Conan landed on his feet because he’s so amazing but it wasn’t right.

you can literally see conan feels like letterman, when letterman came to his show to save it from going down. and now he is giving jimmy's show a breath of fresh air. this might be the best time of conan's life although he may not admit it. but its shining out of his face.

Been watching Consey since the 90's and I can never get enough! Saw him live when he did his first tour and he's such a true comic and so very on point. His delivery is the best

Conan is the best comedian talk show host world has ever seen. Everything about his show, comedic timings, his staff, crew, assistant and his ability to make skit out of any situation, steering a negative, weird moment into comedy are top notch.

Love that Conan is making the rounds right now. He's funnier than ever. LOVE both of them. Was literally in love with both Conan and Jimmy at some point during the late 90s'/early 2000s. Met Jimmy, seen both of them at live tapings of their shows. So, this is actually like really so sweet for me to see. Conan is for sure the GOAT, but I'm happy for Jimmy and his success.

All the collateral damages aside, you got this some profound experiences and memories there. I felt like that while listening and watching my good ol' Brien there. Such a nice moment, such a nice dialouge. I'm happy to be part of it.

I don't normally watch the celeb interview segments but I had to see all the Conan bits, he was my defining Late Night Talk show host.

Conan really showed another host on his own show that there’s levels to this.

Conan is incredible! The best to ever do it.

​​@@kstepko- Well, true - it is intentional, but you might be assuming the wrong reason. If you go play the start of almost all of these KZread guest clips from the show, you'll start to notice Jimmy's introductions are usually edited out and the guests are already sitting down or about to. One of the main reasons is that NBC is trying to avoid needing to pay music royalty fees for whatever song the band is playing when the guests walk out. They already have to cover that once when the show is broadcast, so by cutting it out here, they avoid having to do it twice. Plus it gets around any music copyright flags KZread itself might flag the video with. *Note added: This seems to be unique just to Tonight Show guests clips, because it's not done by NBC on clips from Seth Meyers, and the other networks don't seem to do it for Jimmy Kimmel, or Stephen Colbert clips either. Maybe something in the contracts with Jimmy Fallon or the Roots band(?)*

Yeah, that's a shame. It's probably a copyright or policy thing. Certainly exceptions can be made. Conan returning to the Tonight Show as a guest after the notorious falling out and getting a standing ovation is kind of a great television moment, wouldn't you think? Worthy of an exception. One of the higher ups saying "yeah, we need to include this."

Conan is the GOAT in my opinion. I need to catch up with his podcast!

It’s rly funny

Conan has been incredibly funny as of what I’ve seen recently I’ve noticed something going on with his breathing. He’s the best no matter what.

Conan is absolutely the greatest talk show host. Period. He can make someone laugh every minute and enjoy doing it. The ONLY comedian I will watch and have watched since I was 15 (37 now).

Yes,absolutely! But he has his podcast and he’s doing “Conan without Borders” on Max that’s awesome! It was nasty what NBC did to him,and he was underrated, but he’s doing great now! 😊

Honestly, this is like the first time I've heard Conan talk about Max Weinberg in literally a decade.

What's interesting here is there are moments where Conan almost seems to be trying to catch his breath, almost as if there are all these emotions rushing through him. Great interview.

I noticed it too but it was mainly after he did the bit about freaking out at Kelly Clarkson where he was yelling like crazy and I think that's the main cause, sorry to burst your bubble

He has a new show coming to HBOMax in a few days so he's just making the publicity rounds. It's him traveling the world kind of show which was always really fun to watch so I'm super excited about it. Hopefully Jordan accompanies him everywhere.

You say "these days" as if he's been making appearances for a while and it's not promotion week for his new show and he's mysteriously on tv just for fun.

Conan is so high energy in those interviews, respect !

I could listen to Conan talk about his memories of being at 30 Rock for hours and hours. This was a fantastic appearance.

What's even more crazy is I'm the same height as him and don't feel like a giant. Guess if I was walking around short actors and actresses I'd feel that way. Haha

This was very cathartic to watch. Like some form of closure. Conan's energy with a crowd is contagious.
