Conan is a Debut Like No Other

Miyazaki's career as a animation director began with a unique take on an adaptation of a science fiction novel. The series Future Boy Conan would mark the official debut of the famed filmmaker, meditating on the elements that make up a post-apocalyptic story, along with certain choices in presentation that would become part of Miyazaki's style.

Still my fav anime, the animation and art doesn't look dated at all, the backgrounds, color palette and animation are an Asian luxury compared to modern stuff

Miyazaki was the spark of lite that changed the lupin the third character from greedy adult fare to some thing for every one

When I was about six, having recently moved to a new country where I didn't speak the language, I caught a few minutes on TV of a cartoon. It was very different from anything I'd seen before, even if I didn't understand the words, and kind of stayed with me. It's only now, all those decades later, that I realize it was the before-last episode of Future Boy Conan.

Great video Look forward to seeing more. Would appreciate if you would mix the volume of the music a little lower it got distracting at times. Keep up the good work.

Future Boy Conan is kinda a precursor for Laputa Castle in the sky, story wise characters there are many parallels.

24:12 Dated? Wdym? OK, maybe... I'd take that any day of the week over todays' garbage cgi tho... I'm *_not_* referring to some *_actually good_* cgi like in Konosuba. But the horrendous incarnations of the eye cancer like Meliodas vs Escanor, or other ones that would be an insult to call PS2 graphics. *For the PS2 graphics...*
