This is the first video I’ve seen from you and within the first 10 seconds I know I’m never going to watch another minute of your videos; you’re one of THOSE guys.

With the new Journey system you need to complete the steps in a particular order, not random like before. Good idea to enable the Journey steps in the top right corner to see what is next. Prefer to use the stone mace over the sword as the armour pen is more useful than the swords cripple effect. But the bleed on daggers are really OP early game 😎

Yep…. Realized the same thing on my latest start-over. 100% agree on Sep City. I’ve found decent early game weapons and armor.

Wow this video is so timely for me. I was literally thinking yesterday how I would love to watch a good Conan Exiles walkthrough that starts from scratch, and how i haven't seen many good Conan Exiles youtubers that I enjoy watching as much as you when you play Conan. Its almost like you read my mind. Looking forward to thi walkthrough. Cheers.

I really hope this series continues. I enjoy the early game of CE so much, being a relative newbie myself.

Several recent changes. Yesterday I visited Shellback Hollow to get the tome. I just dodged everybody, ran in and ran out. One of the undead shellbacks chased me out of the cave and half way back to Nube River.

Really? I just did that in Episode 2. The shaleback on guard didn't follow me, it just vanished.

The sentinels are bugged on console so invisible at times and it's more important to follow the new journey steps now

Always fun watching you get into scrapes and (usually) find your way out again!

If you use a normal pick on the shalebacks, and crocodiles they give lots of bones. You killed so many of them and did nothing with them. You could of had so many bones from the start.

Great video. I just started playing a couple of weeks ago and I've obsessed. Haven't been this obsessed about a video game in a long time. I agree about the leveling speed, so I've purposely lowered it significantly. Gotta savour the experience. I look forward to seeing more of these.

Hi derf85. Glad you liked it. It's a great game. It has problems, but overall it's huge fun.

Sad to see you having to restart due to circumstances beyond your control. But im sure you'll have fun this time too. As an aside, i always thought it amusing the initial stone warns slaves not to leave the area, but it is facing the wrong way for a fleeing slave to see!

Happy YT suggested your video to me. Just started playing Conan Exiles. Im fumbling my way around. Dont know where anything is on the map and just whack stuff that looks new to see what it is. I wish they held your hand a little more on using different tools to gather different resources. Its confusing as a newbie that i can use an axe, knife, or the other kind of axe on a dead animal and they give me different things. I know you can "befriend" humans by whacking them with your bully club, but havent tested it out yet to actually do it. So, i dont know... the game feels rough for a new player. So much hidden stuff to learn.

That's something they've tried to fix with the new Journey system. But you're right, it can be confusing.

@@GaudiaCertaminisGaming Yes. I really like the Journeys. And I suppose some people won't want to know where to find, for example, brimstone, but others would. I like that different biomes have different visual textures for variety, but it makes it confusing to see gray stone blocks by noob river but black stone blocks further north. (As another example of confusion.) I wish the Journeys at least gave me an idea of what the resource looked like in the world. I dont think that'd be too much of a spoiler. Or which harvesting tool to use. Or examples of creatures that drop whatever the Journey needs. So they still have a ways to go with them IMHO.

Sorry you had to start over but it looks like you are up to a good start. By the way if you hit branches with an axe you get a lot more then just picking one up but you most likely know that already. 😊

Falcata is pronounced like: Fal-kătă As for leveling too fast, go to the cheat menu and turn it way down. It's more fun, in my opinion, if the leveling is slow. In the Dark Souls community there's a saying, "Don't get greedy." That's why you died to the lvl I. That, and not watching your stamina usage. I love that you started over and I'm sorry about what happened. That really sucked. As a Conan builder, I would've been devastated to see my structures disappearing over time. I truly hope you didn't start a new playthrough too soon and the bug persists. Best of luck and as always, thank you for the entertaining content.✌🏼

@@GaudiaCertaminisGaming Actually, think about it. Generally speaking, in fantasy games there are a ton of made up words as well as real words many of us never use outside of gaming. I doubt outside of Conan you've had occasion to use the word falcata in everyday conversations. I know many melee weapons because I learn medieval and earlier period weapons. I also used to collect weapons of our past. I'm glad you didn't take offense and understood my desire to help.✌🏼

This does not bode well my friend. You are correct in your assumption that the Sentinel statues should be there. They still are there on my PS5 save file. I hope for you that they just didn't render in yet...

Hi, the logo right at the beginning was something I created on 'Viddyoze'. You get a load of template videos you can customise. I just had a look and it's got pretty expensive. I joined when you could pay a lump sum for limited access. There will be other outfits offering the same thing though.

What's worrying me atm is that The Sentinels did not rezz in which maybe says you still have memory issues.... I sure hope not but I am concerned for you.....

They've still not appeared, but I bump into their feet. So they're there.

Starting a new character, these days it's just easier to run to Sepermaru and start looting the chests, run the city for gold to buy a fighter from the pirates, then do dead city for frags and the archivist for a maproom.

I agree, but my last base was just round the corner from Sepermeru so I was going to take a break for a bit. I'd forgotten the pirates sold thralls. Good point.
