So what is a computer network? Well, first, what is a network? The definition of a network is "A group or system of interconnected people or things"
So, it would be fair to say, a computer network would be “A group or system of interconnected computers” right?
And that’s exactly what it is. A computer network is anything where more than one computer is connected.
Traditionally, a computer network would consist of desktop computers, servers, printers, etc.
These days, we live in a connected world. We still have desktops, servers, and printers, but now we have a vast number of smart devices connected to our networks as well.
Most of you will have a mobile phone, maybe a tablet. Security cameras and even smart lighting systems can be found on networks! And the list goes on and on!
Networking has changed the world and how we live in it.
It’s a topic I still get excited about and there is no shortage of new things to learn.
We will go over a lot of this in more details as we go but that enough for now

Thank you, everyone, for your comments! I know it's been a while. What you don't see is the work that goes on behind the scenes. New designs, creating all of the animation, audio equipment etc. I'm happy to say uploads should be a bit more frequent now. Thanks again for your support.

@@Certbros I like this video that is full of details.
Really easy to understand, clear and not at all boring, just watching them all again before i start trying a few labs. probably not all the info you need to pass ccna but it definitely gives you a clear basis and understanding to work on, BUT ITS FREEEEEEEE!!!!!! thanks guys keep at it!
So stoked to find you guys and all your awesome videos. Really takes the mystery out of networking!
The issue is they are not consistent with their content otherwise they'll one of the top KZread channels. Thank you guys for the hard work and i look forward to see more content
Good overview of computer networking! I liked your comparisons of networking at the home and Internet levels, making it easier to understand the importance of networks everywhere. For those using the video to understand their own home networks though, I feel that including a comment about how routers and modems in their homes work to bring them Internet would make the video all the more special. Great job!
Thank you for coming back! Love this channel!! Keep on inspiring us :)

Thanks Basil! Happy to help.
I love the style of these videos. And also the explanation is so straight to the point. Sometimes in my studies I need a different kind of explanation. Then sometimes I use certbros. For example STP was such a thing or OSPF. Thank you!!
This playlist is a blessing.
Looks very promising. And pretty amazing to watch. I actually started going to IT classes. And everytime, I mean every f***ing time our teacher asks us a question like this, all of us becomes brainless to answer the question. He tried to make us present presentations but this time he told a little back story of his teaching life. So he gave the idea to watch videos bcuz that's how he learned many things all by himself. He mentioned that he couldn't learn a thing when he went to classes first. So better be worth it.
Welcome back, always great content. Stay safe!
