this dude is an absolute legend
These tutorials are so slick and well produced, not to mention technically dense and very helpful. Great job! Thank you for taking the time to produce them. Dan Worrall is maybe the best tutorial presenter I have ever heard.

I completely agree. And ... Hands down the best speaking voice on YT, too. Dan decidedly does not suck. Perfect pacing. Perfect production.
This guy hurts my feelings lol. I thought I knew my shit but he makes me feel like an utter novice. Amazing plugins and tutorials.

Tutorials don't get any better. You help me think like a pro!
Wow there is a lot of music theory and audio engineering stuff in this video. very educational
Not using Fabfilter plugins myself (so far), but these tutorials show exactly why Fabfilter has such a great reputation. Truly, thoroughly professional company and products! Thank you for the knowledge shared in this video! 🙏
I will never need anything as advanced as this but it's still amazing. The video was very well done as well!
Thanks, this works wonders and the way you present these so elegantly and simply (not simple concepts, to be sure) is astounding. Looking forward to each and every one!
Fantastic tutorial. So well prepared and executed.
Correct me if I am wrong but I am pretty sure no upward compression is being applied at all at 9:05. You are simply turning up the gain of the sides. If you wanted to "Directly boost just the quiet details in the side channel," you would have to set the threshold at a point where the gain can go above and below it. That way the louder details that go above the threshold are unaffected and the quieter details below the threshold are brought up. If the whole signal is constantly below the threshold, the entire signal is brought up including the louder details. Super helpful video though, just wanted to clarify this for my own sanity haha.
Brilliant
Love these vids.
thanks a mill!
This stuff is *great* to know and apply with purpose but bad to obsess over. It’s worth noting that certain mixers pay almost no attention to stereo linking. Chris Lord Alge has stated on numerous occasions that he simply doesn’t care if his snare wanders a bit. It makes sense when you think about it…an overwhelming majority of listeners would never even notice a slightly wandering snare.
受教了~ 谢谢!
This is just too much. I wish the FF channel had a "basics" playlist that's a logical next step from the user manuals. Rather than this sudden jump from 0 to 60, going from understanding the user manuals to trying to understand these bizarre hyper-technical situations outlined in the Worrall videos.
why is your accompanying music always so bad ?
