    Thank you for this video guide. As a dedicated healer player for dungeons and trials, it is refreshing to have someone explain it much better than I could. Yes, everyone thinks healing is just a three button sequence. My ongoing gripe is with players who dont stand their ground and are just running around the entire area and as a healer you tend to run around to buff them up or heal. After a little while I just stop and stay with the group, but there are times when there are up to three players just running off.

    Oh Im so with you there, it is sooo frustrating when you get the "go everywhere but the groupers on their own miles away" - most just dont realise that our main job is buffing the dps & not just the healing & they have to stay in group in front of us to get the best effect

    Thanks so much for this guide Deltia, Ive been healing for a couple of years now & loving it. Ive just started going into trials other than cloudrest (finally overcame my nervousness) & managed to get an RO staff a couple of days ago so now have all the meta stuff you recommend. Getting used to HA on my back bar is a learning curve though, feels very weird. I am suprised that the undaunted fountain is a thing for Templar's though, would never had thought of it. I love all your guides & builds, they are amazing

    Great and much needed vid for eso healing!! I have been using spell power cure + PA + Spalder of ruin+ 1 piece magma combo on Templar for a while now... it’s love it bcz I get to provide 1k spell damage + minor sorcery for the group. Happy to see the build I put together myself for my healer is one of recommended set combo here 😊. Only skills I use different is I prefer “Ritual of Rebirth” over Breath of life simply bcz it’s aoe heal and can heal one target outside the aoe so I don’t have to target someone before healing and can burst heal multiple targets including myself. And I like to use Harness magicka shield for added survivability and easier uninterrupted res.

    Excellent guide. And thank you for the healy focus. I have to start by saying it hurts deeply that we have to sacrifice the large numbers we could do with pure healy sets and instead run buff sets so others can show off their peak perform numbers. I know, I know... that's the job. Okay, that said (for better or worse) this guide gave me a much better understanding of what I can focus on to master my rotation. I've swapped a few skills around as a result and will explore your flex options. I will (biting my lip here) do my unsung, behind the scenes best to help the DPS glory hogs do their best.

  • @AvengingN00b

    @AvengingN00b

    The large healing numbers are not needed though unless you're doing VET HM trials, If you're not buffing the group a healer really is not required for content unless you have new people running around like headless chicken doing their best to step on every little thing that could damage them, and then the healer really turns into a 3 button job, I don't know how you would enjoy that honestly. You don't have to do everything Deltia said, you can just do your 3 heals, but people in your party that have the minimum of an idea won't appreciate you for being lazy, I know I woudn't, play however you want it's the motto right? just don't complaint later when you're not included for anything

    Nothing proves your mettle like jumping into random vets as a healer (or any class, but I think healer and tank are the real pivots). I'd try to do it with a friend if you can. First, it's just more fun, especially if you get stuck with sub-par blueberries. Second, they can't vote to kick you if you slip up during your learning process, haha!

    I tried it for a bit on my Magblade healer (who's definitely more stressful, but more fun for me). I wasn't getting it to proc in the content I was doing (NON-DLC HMs and DLC reg vets). However, getting better and moving into some harder DLCs and attempting HMs, I'm seeing more fluctuations in health bars on some encounters, so I need to remember I have it unlocked and try it again.

    Very detailed video. For trials though Warden/NB or Warden/Necro or even Warden/Sorc are the better combo's now, Warden/Templar is still good however the only unique thing templars bring to the table nowadays is minor sorcery but unforunately for them, stam is the meta now and minor sorcery is useless to them.

    I think the Focused Mending CP applies to Regen. Magma Incarnate procs off it. Pretty sure I tested this when I was changing some stuff around. It's still only that and your "Oh crap" heal if you have one, but perhaps makes it more relevant for some builds. I'll have to retest it again, because I wouldn't mind trying out some of the more flavorful slottables if it's not contributing enough to my staple healing. Edit: it does. Adds about 2k (over 10 seconds to my current Regen).

    Breath of Life is a frontal target, like Combat Prayer, not 360. Also, not sure if you mention this, but shards shares the same synergy usage cooldown as orbs. Something for you and your group to be aware of if you use both. Ie, a tank particularly might not want to pop an orb if he knows shards are coming, too.

    How do you know when you're ready to do vet content as a healer? Like for DPS you do some parses and get to x DPS and you should be able to carry your weight in vet dungeons but there is no healer parse so how do you gauge it? Just watch your HPS when doing a harder normal dungeon? I just made my first healer after 3 yrs in the game but I don't want to waste anyone's time in a dungeon because I can't keep them alive

  • @scotthelsel1464

    One option would be to play a dungeon that you like and run it on normal until you feel comfortable healing through all of the bosses. Then you could watch veteran guides for the dungeon and see what challenges are added in vet. That way you would know what situations are harder and where you would need to step up your healing. Another option would be to join a guild and ask some of your guildies to run a vet dungeon with you so that you could learn it. BTW DON"T feel bad about pugging a vet dungeon! We were all newbies to veteran content at one time. HEALERS RULE!

Do I need to buff team dmg or help them do dmg? The team need more sustain or more damage buffs?) -Trials: get another optimization (What is the other healer wearing? Kite healer? Group composition?) -Solo play: how do I take my healer to solo play and are still effective?

You have class specific healing and all you do is put 1 spell on your slot?? Either they need to nerf the restro staff or buff the healing trees. It makes it so the class is just worthless.
