First time I hear of the thumb to wrist measurement, it sounds very convenient. I've mostly read of using the end wrist bone as a reference as there is usually about 1-2cm from where the wrist bone ends and where the wrist widens, which is where the shirt cuff would rest.

To lengthen jacket sleeve on already exist working button wholes, you can add the fifth button at front to balance it up - tom ford does it often. Great video anyway - keep posting, please.

That one you show where the sleeves are too long is the one that looks better when you move your arms, stays in place. I bet a longer shirt sleeve on that one will look perfect without any mods to the jacket.

How close is too close to the edge for jacket sleeve buttons?

The greatest thing about these fine details is that most people that ur gonna meet probably wouldnt even care how short or too long ur jacket sleeve length is or ur shirts. Even the ladies most probably wouldnt care. But, you and i, people of culture, yeaa we know whats up, other men of culture knew too whats up so yeah, i love this ❤

I have the same problem with a vintage cotton jacket by Canali: when I start wearing it, the sleeve length is borderline acceptable but after an hour or two it basically shows the whole cuff. Needs to be taken to an alterations tailor. Thanks for the video!

Taking sleeves up from the shoulder requires much more work for a tailor, if is a minimal procedure taking up from the bottom is always much easier and quicker.

pretty much why I hate rtw jackets with opened buttonholes. don't want to shorten from the shoulder

how do you iron and keep your clothes ready everyday?

how about shirt fit in general? i find shirts are the single hardest thing to get to look right on me, especially given im trying to go from a fairly unfit but not large body to a more athletic one. no way of tucking quite looks right, small is too small, medium comically large. at the same time, it seems pointless to do too many alterations to my shirt if i aim to gain mass.

Where are you buying your shirts from and how do they size? For example, most companies size shirts by shoulder when really waist is just as important (especially since most men have the same shoulder size. Sounds like you need a shirt with M size shoulders (usually a 40) and S size waist.
