Keep doing your squats, hip thrusts, chin ups, military press, bench press, deadlifts. Get super strong at them over time. Doesn't mean you shouldnt do your tricep extensions, bicep curls, leg extensions, hamstring curls, lateral raises, kickbacks.

Isolation is good because you build less fatigue and you can build most muscles faster isolating it. That doesn’t mean u should be isolating everything, but it also u shouldn’t be compounding every muscle, ideally u would want to do your compounds then identify the muscles you need to isolate and steadily add that onto what you’re already doing

Hi, and what a person like me with Arthritis can do to make progress? I do mostly legs because I’m a barber so I take care of my hands 😂, but I try to go as heavy as my body let me in leg day and I don’t see much difference in my body

Mine too. Do you do cardio? I ruined my knees by running for hours, during each workout, when I was 99 lbs/45kg overweight. Have you been able to find a type of cardio that doesn't hurt your knees?

I used to as well, until I got an angled platform bringing my heels up a little. Long femurs can be a deterrent but now my quads are in a great place.

This is wrong. There is nothing magical about compound exercises. Yes they are good if you don’t have the time. But saying that you get more hypertrophy in a certain muscle from compound vs isolation is just wrong. You spread out the load over several muscles. Which muscle reach failure. Like saying deadlift involves almost all muscle groups just train deadlift and you get jacked in all those muscles. It’s not only that, you also get a much higher systemic load to recover from.

@@Han-nk3io If you are after big triceps you will get much better results doing over head triceps extension with a big stretch in the bottom. For sure. Then doing just bench and dips.
