Even though the quiz was hard, i managed to get seven questions correct, and i failed only one question. (Compound complex sentence)

Thanks again, teacher!!! I was considering punctuation while watching the compound complex and then you mentioned it. 😄 Just a quick question though before you make that video, when is it appropriate to place a comma after 'and' in compound complex sentence? Thanks again!

Make sure to place a comma before and when it joins two independent clauses. Example: We're going to the market, and I'm going to buy some eggs because we ran out of them. :)

At 7:45...…"When I finish this book, I'm going to start reading Harry Potter." Can you get away without the comma in this sentence?

We need to put a comma after "book" because the dependent clause comes first. If the clauses were reversed, then we wouldn't need a comma.
