Composting Collective Avoids Tons of Food Waste Going to Landfill (Spanish w/English Captions)
Join me for this first installment as I document ecological and regenerative projects around Spain. In this episode, I explore the power of community in Albal as they collaborate to put food waste to work locally. People care is one of permaculture’s three main principles and the work that is being done in Albal is an example of its power. As a community, they have established restricted access composting bins and collect waste from school cafeterias. Now with their new project, they are looking to buy the surrounding fields that have fallen out of use, are speculated upon, or are in orange monoculture. Under this system, the land will be put to use for regenerative purposes under common ownership for the community. To support their cause visit mansalterra.org/ or follow on Instagram @mansalterra @huerto_chandra @campataula.
You can also expect stories from my own gardening and regenerative journey in Peñíscola, Spain.

Working with David and Salva has been a very eye-opening experience in what can be done in community. Keep an eye out for their projects and the progress they are making.
