THANKS!!! I was waiting the translation since i discovered you. I was so desperate i tried to translate it by myself, but with my shitty tier russian skills i needed hours only to translate decently a single aria. Will you translate also 2032 and the lyrics of this in the parts were the text on screen is different from what is sung? люблю вас, из италий!

Hey, wanted to leave another comment. I know it is late, but I wanted to apologize if my previous comments from before came off as aggressive. I like your work and will continue to follow it, despite any philosophical disagreements the music and stories are splendid.

The sea of heaven, where all are one- like that of Evangelion. And yet, Evangelion sees this as a negative, as if truth is devalued therefore is the happiness devalued. Truth has pain but so has happiness, and both are real.

Law of One The Confederation of Planets in the Service of the Infinite Creator has only one important statement. That statement, my friends, as you know, is “All things, all of life, all of the creation is part of one original thought.”

Very different approach from individualism, that's why it seems evil.

@@AlexiosLair It is more about the free will of individuals being compromised. If people want to merge into a giant formless "blob of happiness", I think that is okay so long as it is completely voluntary. Here the protagonist's mind is altered *without* his consent or ability to go back and is subjected to a sort of hive-mind without any alternative. Forcing things upon people, that is evil to me.

@@11RisingPhoenix How do you define free will here? Assuming you mean that a 'you' can either choose or not choose to do something (let's define you as say, the NCC in the video); think about what that means. Your brain is a sort of signal processing device which most likely only feels like it is free to act (see also the wiki on 'sense of agency'). In any world view/physical theory in which every effect has a cause, there is no room for free will. I also cannot imagine what a world without cause and effect would look like. Free will is almost certainly an illusion. You (as in the part in your brain which evaluates inputs) make choices based on the current structure of your brain and all inputs it is receiving + has received in the past. However, the output of your brain is still dependent on input. This holds even if the cause is stochastically tied to the outcome (like in quantum mechanics). Even without determinism there is no room for free will. There is only free will in the sense that compatibilism argues; that other individuals or institutions don't directly prevent you from performing an action. This is trivial however, as other individuals or institutions are always part of your decision making process if they interact with your brain in some way. If you meant the latter by free will, you can ignore my comment :-).

@@RbladerOS "How do you define free will here?" I did not mean "free will" in some sort of vague religious sense, but in the legally accepted term of "an individual carrying out an action out of it's own volition without external cohersion". Whether you believe this is caused by genetics, the environment, chemicals, a complex simulation, god, a mixture of those, none of them or whatever is irrelevant to me. At the end of the day you have to abide by your choices, and "But X made me do it!" does not hold up in the court just as it does not hold up to me. "There is only free will in the sense that compatibilism argues; *that other individuals or institutions don't directly prevent you from performing an action* " And the reverse of that is *exactly* my problem with the philosophy in the video: The protagonist's brain/virtual brain/mind/etc. is actively modified to prevent him from refusing his new condition after his revival. It is in fact expressly acknowledged: "We've learned to live in this eternal love and *we no longer depend on someone saying 'yes'.* " And later on: "We consider your soul a part of our own - *Sorry, we've modified it for the sake of our ourselves* ... In a sense." There are even mentions that feelings like anger, hatred, loneliness "didn't seem to exist here at all". Is this because everyone is happy, or because everyone is *forced* to be by the changes they underwent? *Is there a difference, in this context?* That is my point. If at the end of the day the protagonist had chosen to be in that world because he signed up for it knowingly - fine. But we see no depiction of that in the video, he simply woke up like that. And to me, such a thing is evil. (I should also add I disagree with other philosophical points of the video, despite enjoying the music and artwork. For example I am vehemently opposed to the idea of "we are all one", to me it is complete nonsense. We are *part* of one, namely one universe, but I am not a star faraway in the Andromeda galaxy, I am a human being here and now.)

@@11RisingPhoenix Thank you for your reply. I agree with most of your statements. "At the end of the day you have to abide by your choices, and "But X made me do it!" does not hold up in the court just as it does not hold up to me." I think legal responsibility is a good mechanism for a prosperous society, even if it has no physical basis in reality. "And the reverse of that is exactly my problem with the philosophy in the video: The protagonist's brain/virtual brain/mind/etc. is actively modified to prevent him from refusing his new condition after his revival. It is in fact expressly acknowledged: "We've learned to live in this eternal love and we no longer depend on someone saying 'yes'. " And later on: "We consider your soul a part of our own - Sorry, we've modified it for the sake of our ourselves ... In a sense." " Intuitively forcing people to do stuff does not feel right to me either. Although one could argue that laws are exactly that, and that right now the prevalent local ethics/laws prescribe what you can or cannot do under threat of violence (which I think is good if it e.g. keeps murderers out of society (until rehabilitated if possible)). "There are even mentions that feelings like anger, hatred, loneliness "didn't seem to exist here at all". Is this because everyone is happy, or because everyone is forced to be by the changes they underwent? Is there a difference, in this context?" Good questions. I don't know if there's a difference. Personally I'd think a collective state of long-term stable happiness (or whatever new set of engineered emotions) which does not conflict with technological progress or the survival of intelligent life is desirable regardless of how it came to be, even if I'd prefer people joining voluntarily. "(I should also add I disagree with other philosophical points of the video, despite enjoying the music and artwork. For example I am vehemently opposed to the idea of "we are all one", to me it is complete nonsense. We are part of one, namely one universe, but I am not a star faraway in the Andromeda galaxy, I am a human being here and now.)" I mostly agree. I am limited by what I am through how my conscious experience interacts with the rest of the universe. In a reductionist sense, you could state that any particle ever interacting with this conscious experience is 'me' . However I don't think that would be a useful definition in most cases. I think many different definitions of an 'I' can be used depending on context.
