Completing Ferrocement Dome + Starting Facade OG∆:S10:Ep#6
The second half of the ferrocement dome for the citadel foundation is almost enclosed!
And the facade, which will give a traditional "castle" look to the structure has begun.

Not sure if I got all that, but the overall structure (check latest vid intro to see final result) used about 17 (tons of mortar sand and roughly 100x 94lb bags of Portland cement. Roughly 3 buckets of sand/half bag of Portland. Yes, it is impermeable, and I didn't seal it or add anything else other than some batches have a pinch of fiberglass fibers- usually just the initial layer to lessen mortar loss when applying to the lath
Nice, and inspirational toward my ferrocement dome building plans in the Mojave Desert. It's been 6 months, what is the latest with the County? I had to abandon a thriving Hipcamp operation in another county when a jerk neighbor way down at the bottom of the mountain complained about it to Code Enforcement.
