@@unconventionalme8048 I've sealed some w/ a concrete sealer, but it makes it hard/ impossible to bond w/ later, so best to only seal when sure no further bonds are necessary. It holds up pretty well without any sealant as far as waterproofing

@@moniqueklop4740 yes, I will either make a video explaining that and/or show that in the next episode. It is quite simple- each batch uses one part Portland cement and 3 parts sand. Which is half a bag of cement powder (47 of 94 lb) and 3 buckets of sand, mixed w/ enough water to serve the purposes the mix is used for.

@@ogfoundation do you use fibers in a floor? I have a raised deck that I'd love to ferro-cement instead of wood decking. I currently have bbq grate welded to the metal deck. cool see through to the pond below. but rust will kill it eventually.

@@moogiesretirementhaven2265 I usually add a pinch of fiberglass fibers in each batch, though it's not necessary. If doing a ferrocement floor/for decking, remesh is recommended to spread the load. Are you thinking of doing a ferrocement floor on top of the wooden floor joists there now?

Btw, I can't comment on the video b/c you selected that it's made for kids, which restricts it. If you ever wanted to make the deck ferrocement, itd just be the underside that'd be difficult. But if you could get a form underneath each section, you probably wouldn't need any lath or remesh

Thx! On the Admiral, I used a cement sealer product- almost looks like diluted Elmer's glue. However, that makes it difficult for future cement bonds to form as well. On the Citadel, I haven't used a product yet, it has overwintered once and still no leaks.

@@athenry water is all that's necessary for Portland cement to bond to the previous coat. Whether in the mix so it's wet & sticky, or by pre-watering the surface. Also, when doing several layers in a couple days, the uncured cement is easier to bond w/ than fully cured.

Not sure if I got all that, but the overall structure (check latest vid intro to see final result) used about 17 (tons of mortar sand and roughly 100x 94lb bags of Portland cement. Roughly 3 buckets of sand/half bag of Portland. Yes, it is impermeable, and I didn't seal it or add anything else other than some batches have a pinch of fiberglass fibers- usually just the initial layer to lessen mortar loss when applying to the lath

Yeah, it was a stupid conflict... ideally can get through life w/ no conflicts w/ other people, but things can get messy when free-will and egos are involved. Hopefully the patient & non-violent approach prevails over time... That's cool you live in Finland! I visited for a few weeks around 2002, and have some ancestors there. Great country!

If your neighbour is so reckless that he has destroyed your property, if you have CCTV, consider setting up a "trap" which could provoke him to repeat that, this time on camera. I noticed KZread is shadow shadowing Bitcoin cash in the algorithms. Because I've been watching a lot of Bitcoin videos not a single suggestion came up for Bitcoin cash. I had to search Bitcoin cash specifically to start finding those videos. But yeah I do think Bitcoin cash is going to be the place to be, there seems to be a renewed Grassroots support for it. It's my understanding that Bitcoin cash is actually the real original Bitcoin, and I think others are finding that now, and with the new book coming out by Jesus, I think bch is going to rock. Ps, careful with venmo it's my understanding that the payments are reversible.

Do you have a generator? Imo power lines are a way to put down workers - like the vaccine. However a generator isn't capable of nuclear power (unless it's a big jet engine or something). Internet cables are good though, just not overhead power lines.

When I was building my boat, I used hard points because the core between the carbon fiber skins was not crush resistant and wouldn't hold hardware. For a large hard point, the core was hollowed out and a piece of plywood was epoxied in to mount winches and hardware on. The alternative method for a smaller hard point is augering out a hole and filling with epoxy, then drill/screw into the epoxy.

*My capability to comment on KZread has been intermittently restored! "Intermittently" meaning that only sometimes now does an attempt to comment result in the keyboard freezing open yet unusable on the phone regardless of turning off the screen or switching apps... but while it still happens occasionally, the situation has significantly improved since the time of making this (and the following video on the @allodium channel) video.
