Completed Wreck This Journal

So there have been a lot of comments on my journal like, "it's supposed to be this" or "you're
supposed to do this." Honestly, this book is whatever you want it to be. Many of you think "I did
it wrong" because I used an artsy approach, but that is not true. In the beginning of the book it
says,"Instructions are open to interpretation." That basically means that you can do what you
want. If you didn't notice, I DID follow every instruction, maybe just not in the obvious way. I had a lot of fun doing this, I DID NOT COPY ANYONE ELSE'S IDEAS and this is the way that I wanted to do it. It annoys me to see people saying that this is wrong or it's not the way it should be because I really enjoyed this and it means a lot to me. Some people also like to say,"This book is for people who need to release anger or stress and allows them to take it out on the book." Well, I am not a very angry person and THIS is the way I relieve stress. By drawing and creating, not by just punching or destroying. ANYWAY, there have been dozens of positive comments, so thank you so much for those! I just thought I should explain myself because I am getting annoyed at the same negative comment over and over.

FAQs
1.) How did you keep the markers from bleeding through the page?
for all of the materials I used, I tested them first on the paper to see if they bled through...if they did I wouldn't use them because I can't stand when stuff bleeds through. I mainly stuck to colored pencils for that reason.
2.) What did you use on the cover?
I bought the "duct tape" version, which has a light gray cover, so I just drew stripes right on there with sharpie markers.
3.) Did you get your ideas off of tumblr?
NOO! haha I don't even have a tumblr. I did look at a lot of journals, BUT I wanted to have all my original ideas in there, so I would google a page AFTER I did it, so I wasn't tempted to copy it :)
4.) Where can I get one?
Barnes and Noble, Borders, or my personal favorite AMAZON.COM :)
5.) What drawing materials did you use?
Mostly colored pencils (all different brands) and black pen (for outlines), but occasionally I used "super tip" markers (Crayola), soft pastels which are kind of like chalk, great for soft backgrounds (Artist's Loft), Watercolors (Crayola and Artist's Loft) and Acrylic Paint (Reeves).
6.)What is the shiny covering you put on some of the pages?
I just put regular packing tape over some of the pages to protect them
7.)How did you add those extra pages in?
I fold regular printer paper in half. then I put a thin line of glue on the crease. Then I shoved it into the book and held it there for about a minute. Then trimmed away the excess.
ALSO. A lot of people think that this is the same journal in my series...it's not!

I literally bought one of these after I saw my friend take hers for a walk. Everyone at school stared as she took it around school! Mine arrives tomorrow I'm so excited!

Hi you inspired me to get it for my anger I'm hideous violent human that is unleashed often snapping for no reason kicking,screaming,lashing out,swearing,hitting,punching you name I do it I self harm as a pushment for my out of control behaviour I have recently found out I had serious anger management issues I got the journal and since last week I was clam,cool and collective and had my anger under control though I may need to take it to school has my temper is not fully controlled you really helped you are amazing at drawing don't listen to haters Btw I have been self harm clean for almost two weeks

You decided to be creative with this book/ journal instead of destroying it, this is amazing!
I love the voice when she flipped pages and if I was their flipping the pages feels good

omg, i was 6 when i found this video. i remember watching it over and over again. then, 7 years later, i started watching moriah. i didn't know she had made this video until now! congrats, moriah! you've done such good progress
To people saying that decorating the journal is not the right thing to do : if you didn't get it, it is written inside the book "creating is wrecking" you have to wreck it and to change the way it looks by drawing in it, be imaginative and creative.. The thing about this book is that you can do anything that you want until at the end, you don't recognize it... and anyway what she did is amazing, a true artist xx

I actually love how you had your own interpretation for each prompt on every page, it's very creative. It's annoying the people commenting "Ermagherd, that's nert how you do ert" There are no rules. There's no set way to do things. That is how art is born.

I know this is an old video, but I got the book in the mail yesterday. I was surprised to see that a lot of the pages are different that the one I have. You are so talented!
