Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

This little plastic boat is a bass fishing machine. I've been getting a lot of requests for this video so here it is. My tournament kayak is a Bonafide SS127 with a Torqeedo 403 Ultra Light motor. It is also fully powered by Dakota Lithium batteries and YakPower.

    I purchased the Leverage landing net because I saw how well you handled it ...now my PBs are better. They get in my yak. When I wired mine I kept all electronic components off inside hull bottom as I dont want water in hull contaminating/flooding ( shorting) system. Outstanding rig!

    Your SS127 is a serious rig! I recently picked up a Topwater 106. I was going back and forth between it and the Bonafide SS107, but the $400 savings came in handy for other stuff I needed (I spent way more than $400. Man, it adds up fast - LOL!). By the way, I got a lot of helpful tips from watching lots of kayak vids, including yours. Thanks for your insights and taking the time to document and share them!!! By the way, I'm having a blast with the kayak! It was a blast researching and conceiving how I'd rig it, it was a blast putting it all together and now it's a blast on the water, and this is coming from someone who's spent over 50 years fishing out of rowboats and canoes in the 'Dacks. It's a very different perspective on the water. It's also a lot more stable than I would have thought and it's easier to land fish, or at least that's how it feels to me. Another thing is looking in the direction of a low and setting sun on a clear day leaves a much, much longer and intense glare in the water.

    Hey boss man, have you ever thought about making a video for fishing in heavy algae. The lakes where I fish have a lot of algae that piles up on the edges of the lake and some areas it's along the bottom for like the first foot. It's real stringy slimy clumpy makes it hard for a beginner angler to fish in, only thing I have found is soft plastics, thank you.

    I have watch number of your videos, they have given many ideas on my kayak, fishing, rigs, and how to fish in general. Moving south late summer and plan to do more fishing than I have up north. I served in the navy, we used blue lights on the inside of my ship, can you try blue lights in your cockpit. Blue lights do now hurt your eyes that much. I just wish I could fix my kayak like yours.

    I'm sure the rods he takes varies on the conditions he's fishing. For example if he's fishing a lake with lots of pads and heavy cover he's going to bring heavier rods to get them out of the cover. If he's fishing late summer he's going to have lighter rods for finesse fishing (drop shot etc). Do you need help selecting rods or were you just curious? Look up the 6 rod and reel bass fishing system (wired2fish) and that will give you a general idea/baseline

    Flukemaster I’m looking to get a fishing kayak. I have a few ideas for which one I want to get, but I have it down to the Bonafide SS127 and the Jackson Kayak Coosa HD. I want something that is very versatile, stable, and of course fishable. What would you suggest?

  • @Flukemaster

    @Flukemaster

    5 жыл бұрын

    The coosa is a great kayak. I've paddled one many times. The biggest differences between the two are: The Coosa is lighter, faster and more maneuverable because it is designed for rivers and fishing in current. The SS127 is more stable, catches less wind, tracks a little better, has a more comfortable seat, and much easier to stand up in.

    Hey Gene, How do you tie the kettle bell to your anchor wizard. I ran a 5lb kettlebell off the front of mine Saturday and it didn't seem to want to keep me in place, it was laying in the water when I had it up all the way, and it didn't seem like the anchor wizard on the perch pad had enough power to crank it back up. I feel like I'm missing something...

    I use a 10lb and it barely touches the water. I have a small stainless steel carabiner tied to the end of my rope. I wrap it through the handle of the kettlebell and then clip it back to the rope. I crank it in until I hear it seat up in the handle of the kayak.

    Sweet setup man. I'm finally going to be getting my first fishing kayak. Nothing fancy, but a sit on top for sure. Thinking between the big fish 105 or pelican catch 100. I drive a 4 door car so I'll have to take it on and off myself. I know the big fish is 20+pounds more than the pelican but seems better built. Any words of wisdom would be cool. Appreciate the videos!!

    In kayak tournaments we use Catch, Photo, Release. We catch a fish, put it on an approved measuring board, take a picture of it and then release it. So we go by length and the best five fish by the end wins.

The only time I've had one of their reels crap out on my quick like that is when an extra spring has accidentally been dropped inside the housing during assembly. It didn't rear it's ugly head until I started using it hard.
