    Thanks bro! I'm not the best at big lake fishing. I usually do river fishing and that involves more of the streams and breaks in current. This was super helpful!

    The idea where there life, bugs bait fish birds muskrats theres fish. Ive known this tip but sadly only have caught sunfish and a chub 😢. Its been tough because water is dangerously shallow. I know because im able to walk out quiet a ways i use my knee high rain boots. The dock is out about 10 to 15 ft. When im able to walk near the dock i know water is shallow. Knowing this i finally got a 7ft rod to cast to deep water where theres eddies and pockets in the water. Also the corrent seams. Even fishing that ive had no luck. Then, i looked in depth for brush piles and grass patches to fish. Since corrent seams shaded areas where there's pockets and eddies didnt produce fish. I fish cover where theres grass and brush and only caught sunfish 🙄

    The SMH worm and jig head are deadly and the worms catch like 25 fish before you have to change them. Love Z-Man

    Yeah unless you’re fishing really bulky creature baits you really don’t need an EWG! I like worm hooks or straight shank also if I’m not using neko for trick worms

    It also helps to throw a bass assassin fluke. Zoom flukes are good for trailers and c rigs. Weightless, you can't beat the bass assassin!

    Or use better flukes. Use the 6th sense flush---best fluke ive ever used (im not affiliated or sponsored by them) but it has a split fin on top where the hook tip rests, split down underside to go in, and side fins and a sideways fin on tail. The flush does something no other fluke does except maybe the dolive fluke style bait--- that is, as it falls, it stays perfectly horizontal, and it shimmys just like a senko does. So it can be fished where u just let it fall and shimmy, or you can fish it like a soft jerkbait, and when you pause between jerks, it shimmys.

    I've watched and enjoyed many Flukemaster vids. At one time I was a subscriber. Unfortunately, Gene has turned to live scoping fish for money. I do not and will not support fish being taken advantage of. Sorry Gene, I've drawn the line.

  • @Flukemaster
    @Flukemaster7 күн бұрын

    That's funny because i couldn't see any of these fish on Active Target. They were tight to the bottom and could only be seen on down imaging and side scan. I was using Active Target to make sure I was casting to the edges of the shell beds or into the grass. This whole debate is very puzzling to me because I've been using it for three years and I know what it can and can't do. But on the internet we have people like you who have never used it who are passing judgement based on opinions of other people who refuse to use it. For every fish I catch using FFS there are hundreds that I don't.

  • @walteringramii4313
    @walteringramii43136 күн бұрын

    @@Flukemaster Well Gene, what is puzzling to me is you making a distinction between seeing and not seeing fish on your scope. You were still using it, and that is where my line is. I don't have to know what it doesn't do, because I know what it does do. My opinions and feelings on the subject are not based on what other people say, never have been and never will. I told my wife about FFS, who doesn't know a rubber worm from a real one, and she said that's not fair. That is where I am Gene. If you don't feel the same, I was mistaken in thinking you and I had certain things in common. Like I said, thanks for the info you have passed on to me in the past but enough is enough.
