Thanks bro! I'm not the best at big lake fishing. I usually do river fishing and that involves more of the streams and breaks in current. This was super helpful!
Thanks for the great info. When would you throw a wobble head opposed to a football jig?
The idea where there life, bugs bait fish birds muskrats theres fish. Ive known this tip but sadly only have caught sunfish and a chub 😢. Its been tough because water is dangerously shallow. I know because im able to walk out quiet a ways i use my knee high rain boots. The dock is out about 10 to 15 ft. When im able to walk near the dock i know water is shallow. Knowing this i finally got a 7ft rod to cast to deep water where theres eddies and pockets in the water. Also the corrent seams. Even fishing that ive had no luck. Then, i looked in depth for brush piles and grass patches to fish. Since corrent seams shaded areas where there's pockets and eddies didnt produce fish. I fish cover where theres grass and brush and only caught sunfish 🙄
The SMH worm and jig head are deadly and the worms catch like 25 fish before you have to change them. Love Z-Man
Great info! Thw Texas rig is my go-to for any new water. Never fails to find them!
I'm not touching anything kast king.
Nice weight lost my friend
Do you use siebert outdoors jigs anymore?
It’s funny to see this video knowing u were out filming the same day I was at the Rocky Mountain pfa and saw ur truck and u floating around the middle!
Yeah unless you’re fishing really bulky creature baits you really don’t need an EWG! I like worm hooks or straight shank also if I’m not using neko for trick worms
Looking good bro can tell youve been losing some weight.
Great video, the lake I fish here in Missouri, barely a lake fishing form the Jetty cause i'm tryin to avoid ticks, a Junebug berkley powerworm has been killing it. Keep killin that weightloss journey, I too am on that journey, almost didn't recognize you!
Man, i thought the water was warm at the lakes here and theyre high 70s low 80s
I love the fire on the water 😅😅😅😅
Nooooo not the SMH worms..I thought they were a secret 😂😂
Nothing Zman is a secret!
I had my best days fishing with the smh shaky head and a june bug curly tail I caught so many in a couple hours my back hurt from hooking and reeling and had to pack it up B lat is the one who got me to try these
That' awesome
Kast king is trash
Did anyone else notice the spider crawling over his PFD. 4:48. 😂😂😂
I paused the video once I saw it to see if anyone else in the comments noticed!
I grew up running around in the woods. An ol' Daddy Long Leg don't faze me. :)
What brand are those star-spangled awesome sun gloves?
Ah caught the logo during the Carolina rig demo - Fish Monkey. Totally buying.
As always great information video!
Glad you liked it!
Are you still doing kayak tourneys?
I few. I'm picking and choosing the ones I want to do so I keep the fun in it.
Good selection of baits, great video Gene 👍
Thanks 👍
Dropping jewels
Hey, so I was watching this on the water and was curious. Why do you use the swivel? To prevent line twists?
Good job i like your videos and you seem like a all around goid person . Congrats on a great fininsh on a tough clear lake. Summer months can be frustrating on laurel.
Arent thr smallmouth 18"" to keep on laurel?
Thank you for your teaching.❤❤❤
Man you’ve used the hell outta that nrs
It also helps to throw a bass assassin fluke. Zoom flukes are good for trailers and c rigs. Weightless, you can't beat the bass assassin!
We saw your truck @ rocky mountain in Rome today.
My question is where do you cast?
Or use better flukes. Use the 6th sense flush---best fluke ive ever used (im not affiliated or sponsored by them) but it has a split fin on top where the hook tip rests, split down underside to go in, and side fins and a sideways fin on tail. The flush does something no other fluke does except maybe the dolive fluke style bait--- that is, as it falls, it stays perfectly horizontal, and it shimmys just like a senko does. So it can be fished where u just let it fall and shimmy, or you can fish it like a soft jerkbait, and when you pause between jerks, it shimmys.
Best in depth video I've seen your informative delivery was great!!!
Great info! Thks!
I’ll be getting my first boat soon, and so glad there is videos out there like this. Makes the launching a bit less terrifying.
Damn dude, looking svelt my man. Nice!
I'd it bad to keep plug in all the time ?
What about weightless
Do you use sinker with spinnerbait?
I like those white sproe frogs too, but it seems like whatever frogs I use they start taking on water and sinking. what can I do to prevent that?
The series is great! Just wish to see what you are pointing at instead of your finger 🙂 As a suggestion - explain with words without pointing at the screen, and add arrows when you edit the video (similar to what you did at 2.18)
Wow this video just saved me from tearing my motor apart ahahhaa wheeeeew thank you for a good Ol Gem of a video
If I were the store owner and saw someone, anyone, doing such to my merch we’d have issues. We’d have BIG issues! 🤷🏻♂️
I DO get it though! 👍🏻
Congratulations Gene, great new partnership! Now if you could just get a Gators hat, all would be good, ha!
love, subscribbing, your personality and teaching is so amazing. your clips lead to microplastics.
Finally, I found a good explanation that makes sense. Just rented a kayak at a local lake to fish, and I kept worrying about the water in those holes.
Thanks for getting straight to the point
Hello sir, very useful videos thankyou very much I'm in India tamilnadu I want to new model so please help me and support me please reply me,
Mr Jensen, can you do a video on night fishing please sir
I've watched and enjoyed many Flukemaster vids. At one time I was a subscriber. Unfortunately, Gene has turned to live scoping fish for money. I do not and will not support fish being taken advantage of. Sorry Gene, I've drawn the line.
That's funny because i couldn't see any of these fish on Active Target. They were tight to the bottom and could only be seen on down imaging and side scan. I was using Active Target to make sure I was casting to the edges of the shell beds or into the grass. This whole debate is very puzzling to me because I've been using it for three years and I know what it can and can't do. But on the internet we have people like you who have never used it who are passing judgement based on opinions of other people who refuse to use it. For every fish I catch using FFS there are hundreds that I don't.
@@Flukemaster Well Gene, what is puzzling to me is you making a distinction between seeing and not seeing fish on your scope. You were still using it, and that is where my line is. I don't have to know what it doesn't do, because I know what it does do. My opinions and feelings on the subject are not based on what other people say, never have been and never will. I told my wife about FFS, who doesn't know a rubber worm from a real one, and she said that's not fair. That is where I am Gene. If you don't feel the same, I was mistaken in thinking you and I had certain things in common. Like I said, thanks for the info you have passed on to me in the past but enough is enough.
Then I have a serious question. What do you think it does?
