COMPLETE SUSPENSION for TOUGH TRACKS & TOURING

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

I bought a new car during the period when my chopped GQ Patrol snapped its second crank before my trip to Cape York. I decided that eventually the GQ is going to be too old, worn out, rusty & broken one day rotting in a paddock with the inability to get parts eventually & so one day I'd probably need to go to the next model. I bought a GU Patrol from my mates pop that was untouched and I have been using it as a daily for the past year & for stealing the odd part off to keep the GQ on the road. But now it's time to start giving it some love on the channel with a few other exciting updates!

    Great vid Timmy. One thing mate and it's critical, please weld in long sleeves and long pants. I used to do exactly what you're doing when I was a young fella. Didn't care about the UV burns...till I was in my late 40s and told I've got skin cancer. Two surgeries so far. Please mate for your own good and every other young KZreadr, cover up your skin. Be smart. Cheers mate.

  • @timmyhasheart

    @timmyhasheart

    6 ай бұрын

    I believe I chose the heavy valving in the order mate, I did email the cars intentions & what would be bolted to it front and rear too, whether that had a bearing of how it was valved I’m not sure. I have driven the car over a bunch of bumps and woops near my place, the rear is too stiff to tell without a tray, but the front is instantly better than my GQ. The only downside I can possibly pick is the travel, but I also wouldn’t wanna ruin a shock this good by bumping too close anyway, but yeah stay tuned definitely keen to review them down the track once I’ve used them 🙏🏻🙏🏻

    @timmyhasheart frothing the content and edit mate Little tip with patrols on hoist lift up and take out front coils, lower down and remove rear lifting arms, lift front of patrol only from behind gearbox crossmember. Chock rear wheels and strap hoist to chassis ✌️makes front suspension proper easy

    To save me watching another you tuber commercial for superior do you mention the cost of the gear and labour to fit it ??? My guess is not mentioned as it’s way to expensive for the average joe . Seems you have to be on you tube to get superior for free

    Appreciate the comment guys, so here’s the deal, I’m not about bullshitting people so I’ll give it to you straight which I feel like I do but maybe you’re new here. I spent about 12-15k as an “average Joe” with my own money on the GQ about 4 years ago, I loved it enough to pay then solely as a customer and I love them enough to endorse it now as I’ve grown as a channel, yes they look after me, as do kincrome and as do ultimate 9 as shown at the start of every episode. Wouldn’t show it if I didn’t froth it, but I also understand you don’t want to see an ad and that’s sweet too just unsubscribe, but thanks for watching and thanks for the comment all the same! 🙏🏻

    Sorry I forgot to include I believe the retail price of this same kit in this car would be the same as my GQ, about 12-13 depending what shocks and extras you chose, which plenty of “average joes” pay every day cause they’re a mint Aussie company who make mint? Legal suspension and work hard to get it through all the testing to be legal replacements
