    It would be interesting to compare the details on how the chariot and harnesses were designed compared to other horse & chariot design details of the same time in Greek/Roman, civilization. Did good ideas spread fast and far 2200 years ago?

    There was close contact, mainly trade, between China and Central Asia. The Central Asians then brought Chinese products and inventions to Western Asia, Europe and India.

    Behind the scenes at the Xian museum they have a copy of this chariot…….where you are able to take photos. We were on a trip with a group and I had my photo taken together with the most senior traveller in the group.
