While not quite a 5 page essay, loading your world in a 1.2 state would allow Frankenstein’s and Swamp Things to drop it at a 1/250 chance post 1 mechanical boss which would then allow you to craft it pre plant and then update your terraria to the latest version with your character having the broken hero sword, you can now defeat the rest of the mech bosses, craft the true night’s edge and the true excalibur with your 1.2 broken hero sword to craft the terra blade pre-plant, you’d just need to play in 1.2 up until you’ve defeated 1 mech boss and farmed for the drop, admittedly you’d be stuck on normal difficulty which does defeat the purpose but you could always make a another world and use your pre plant terra blade to breeze through it

Theres an insane recently discovered glitch allowing you to get zenith pre boss. Its called philosopher's stone. Look it up, also on the same channel you can find how you can mine locked chests in the dungeon and gender swap the chest to get the loot from it.

​@@bolouxshetnfouk2741Honestly, i disagree. It's utility can now be seen outside the well known machines it's correlated to. If you were to be able to get pass cowardice and actually afford to stay close, the DPS is honestly very good. I usually invest a lot into melee speed for it, and it excels in dealing damage rapidly. It utterly decimates Golem and LC with some bulk and life regeneration, and can take advantage of Empress' Sun Dance attack for like, 6k to 7k dps.

Quick note, mothrons dont spawn until you kill plantera. Therefore, you cant get the broken hero sword to craft the terrablade until that requirement is filled.

No, terra blade is not possible before plantera. The way you got broken hero swords on the old-gen console was by a rare drop from regular mobs, but now, ONLY mothron drops broken hero swords. Check the wiki

-starfury is objectively the best pre-boss sword -the blood butcherer isn't available in corruption worlds -there is no point in dark lance if you have the night's edge, they have near identical ranges, dark lance has smaller hitbox, nights edge has stronger knockback and kb potential with the coverage. the debuff aint worth the trouble. -you might as well keep the beserker glove as a power glove since there is potential to not have a second pair of feral claws for another power glove, and the extra defense and aggro aint worth it when all weapons at this stage are meant to be used from a range -having chain guillotines (corruption mimic weapon) and blood butcherer (crimtane weapon) on the same list are just, y'know, a little contradictory? -terrablade is unobtainable pre-plantera, use true nights edge instead -why ever change the terrablade placement after getting it? its objectively the best pre-moonlord sword, and the horsemans blade doesnt even have a projectile that isn't triggered by enemy hits, making it redundant at this stage of the game -the mechanical glove is a direct downgrade from the fire gauntlet, and, infact, is required to craft said fire gauntlet -why use turtle armor? the damage is pathetic compared to chlorophyte, and you shouldn't be going for non-dr tanking this late (thats why beetle shell is acceptable, it does insane dr) -what's with the constant switch between tank and dps melee? the destroyer emblem is kinda stupid for a tank build, just keep the raw damage of warrior emblem, even if it is theoretically a lower dps number. -what's with the only 2 accessory slots? this is a loadout video, so show actual loadouts -hero shield (tank accessory) + master ninja gear (dodging accessory)? the mng is amazing, ofc, but all these tank accessories, you'd think a dash wouldn't be necessary. here are the subclass switches: -dps -dps -dps -tank -tank -dps -tank? this is a weird survivability hybrid so, yeah. those are all the inconsistencies in a 60 second long video. i have just realised that i took the ragebait, and am now even madder than before

You need to update ur progression guide and replace the terra blade with the true nights edge as it doesn’t need the broken hero sword to craft it which has very recently become post-plantera.

This reminds me of a ranger guide where they recommended the Phoenix Blaster for skeletron. A quick look at the wiki would fix this issue.

Crimtane is actually found underground and can be mined pre-boss using bombs

Once you get up to Terra-Blade you don’t really need another weapon except for the pillar weapons. Also Terra-Blade is post Plantera

I would recommend frostbite pre-mech as well, while not as good of damage buffs, the extra frostburn works on almost every enemy

The Terra-Blade can hit both Golem hands and his head at once, making great for his first phase. Afterward, switch to the Starlight.

Me with my newly crafted platinum broadsword feeling happy i can almost one shot slimes with the slime banner

Terra blade: needs two broken hero swords to craft, which you can achieve AFTER you defeat Golem, and you can defeat Golem after defeating Plantera. Death Sickle: dropped by the wraiths (idk how they are actually called), which they only spawn on eclipses, and eclipses happen after defeating Golem, and by defeating Golem you need to defeat Plantera first.
