yea everyone's going to miss some classics but what maybe surprised me the most that he hadn't seen Die Hard even thought it's on tv at least every christmas, and none of Tarantino movies

I love how organized everything is; TV alphabetical, the movies by genre and alphabetical within each. I have a few of those DVD/blu-ray sets.

Awesome collection! I'm jealous of all the blu-rays! I started my collection like 10 years ago, so I still have a lot of DVDs. I need to upgrade these bad boys to 4k!

Nice collection. My shelves were mostly stacked on music (+2000 items) but I'm slowly getting there with DVD/Blu-Ray as well. Got 500-600 so far. I'm also a fan of all sorts of special editions so I absolutely loved that part of your shelf!

Wow...you sir, are HARD CORE! I usually just opt for one movie, but I have purchased a blu-ray version of one season of a tv show, then bought the whole series on dvd, which is unusual for me. If you ever do want to watch The Simpsons, I'd go for the first four seasons, or up to the who shot mister burns mystery, plus it's fun to watch with commentary, very funny. It stopped being great after season seven or eight, although the menus got more interesting with each year. Anyway, I'm still blown away by your collection, thanks for sharing!

Finally went through this whole video and spotting Solaris in that havent watched shelf got me so stoked! Definitely check out the rest of Tarkovsky's filmography! Only 7 movies total plus a couple shorts

What an incredible collection. Thank you for sharing it with us. I found it interesting what genres you decided to slot certain films in where I would have probably put them somewhere else. Yours makes complete sense, but just shows how different genre breakdowns can be from person to person. Some thoughts I had while watching: Very interesting that you have The Pacific but don't have Band of Brothers. If you haven't watched Band of Brothers, I'd love to see you do a reaction to it. I've seen the whole 10 episodes dozens of times. It's my favorite miniseries/tv show of all time. Have you gotten a chance to continue with Black Sails? I consider it to be criminally underrated. It's not a show you can truly appreciate until you have seen the entire thing. The storytelling is beyond anything I have seen a show achieve in terms of subverting your expectations. Have you seen A League of Their Own? I know you like Tom Hanks from watching your reactions. It's a classic, must watch. Lastly, if you're looking for an older thriller/disaster film, I can't recommend The Poseidon Adventure (1972) enough. Modern disaster films owe so much to it.

I didn't see it on your shelves but Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World is an amazing movie. Won and Oscar for it's sound and if your audio setup is good you'll love it.

I may have missed it in here. Have you seen the amazing Mad Max Fury Road? Also, i'd love to see your take on the South Korean version of Oldboy (but please never the Spike Lee remake). 12 Monkeys, Donnie Darko, and The Big Lebowski are other big highlights for me. All right up there with Fight Club, Shawshank, and Pulp Fiction for me. Enjoy your channel a lot. We are a lot alike, I am a huge film fan, but also over time acquired a massive bluray collection that I've only made a partial dent in. Though I have seen a majority of them as they released in theaters or over time. Just got into the habit of spending and collecting them. Until the past year where I had to cut myself off to save money.

You should definitely continue Black Sails. The first season is kinda slow, but after that the show is absolutely incredible. One of my favourites

Since I was a little kid I’ve always wanted to have a massive collection of dvds such as this but now it seems dvds are on the way out of relevancy despite the fact that they’re higher in quality than streaming. It’s just like Evelyn said in Incredibles 2: “people will trade quality for convenience any day of the week”. I wonder what we will collect once DVD’s become completely obsolete

Nice collection. Like you, I have several blu-rays I've yet to get around to watching. I'm addicted to good deals, though. From the ones I caught in your "not yet seen" section, I might recommend these if you ever find the time... 12 Monkeys (very topical right in the era of Covid-19) Apocalypse Now Carlito's Way The Crow Dawn of the Dead (2004) [it does have one super dumb moment in it, though -- Zack Snyder of Watchmen] Escape from New York [the sequel/requel 'Escape from L.A. makes an OK double feature] Field of Dreams The Informant! Misery Planes, Trains & Automobiles Silence of the Lambs [the prequel 'Red Dragon' is decent as well] Speed The Thing (original) Total Recall (original) Walk the Line [James Mangold of The Wolverine/Logan]

I’m pleased to see “The Untouchables” and “Carlito’s Way” on your shelf of unwatched films. I look forward to eventually seeing reaction videos for these. I wonder if this means you’re at all familiar with Brian De Palma as a filmmaker. He was a standout director long before he directed the first “Mission: Impossible.” My personal favorite is “Body Double,” but “The Untouchables” is also one of my all-time favorite films. “Carlito’s Way” has an absolutely spectacular long take during an extended chase scene (De Palma is a master of long takes). Other must-see De Palma films are “Carrie,” “Dressed to Kill,” “Blow Out” (a Tarantino favorite... led to Travolta being cast in “Pulp Fiction”), “Femme Fatale,” and of course “Scarface.” A treasure trove of great films from a true artist.

How can Chicago not be in you musical section? That is a must

How do you go about getting those numbered super limited editions? Is there a certain place you pre-order from when they're announced, or do you get them 2nd hand?

what edition is that Prestige steelbox boxset? That was the only one that I've never seen! Must be cause of the "only 200 copies"

Very nice collection! Personally I stopped to buy normal amarays and standart steelbooks a few years ago and only concentrate on premium editions from Blufans, Weet, KimchiDVD, Novamedia, Mantalab, HDZeta and Filmarena (only missing the Wolf Of Wall Street) ...and Hot Toys figures. You definitely need a better sound system and bigger screen to enjoy your movies... and before you do some videos for KZread you should clean your furnitures and hide the cables and so on... it was not so good for the overall impression of the video. You should open your premium editions... the exclusive steelbooks from Blufans are sooo great! In the XL Fullslips from Filmarena there are not 2 booklets, it is 1 booklet and a folder with fotocards ;)

I'm curious about why you have bought so many things you've never seen before? This is thousands of dollars of movies and shows you've never seen. I'm very interested in how you've never seen classic movies but you clearly understand the language of films from your reaction videos. What movies did you grow up on? If I havent seen a movie I usually get it extremely cheap from secondhand sellers so I really dont spend much money on movies unless I've seen it and love it. I took some film classes in college and have work on some tv and small film productions which has helped my knowledge!

I just couldn't figure out how you got through film school without seeing The Godfather, Back To the Future, or Die Hard. Each is a perfect representation of their era and genre and usually get taught in film studies classes. And a lot of people who are interested in studying film are usually inspired by these classics. I'm curious about what got you into movies. This is YOU Tube, tell us about you. You're an interesting guy. I've watched your whole channel today. I'm now watching it for a second time with my wife. We're loving your content. Subscribed and bell turned on. We have been wanting to make a channel with our collection, but we've seen all our collection, so we're trying to figure out a good idea. Their is a 3rd Jumanji it’s the first one with Robin Williams, theirs also a little known cartoon that you can usually find cheap at dollar general, if you ever get around to it I would suggest finding the Buffy the vampire series (the original complete series set has a bonus disc not included in the long box set currently available)

Awesome collection first off ha, although I am surprised your name is not Brandon LOVES Movies haha. Secondly, via wikipedia "1408 is a 2007 American psychological horror". That should be under the horror section and not thriller, but whatever you want it's your collection not mine. Love it and keep up the good work!
