One main reason for the 5-0 (that I feel underrated) was Brad Haddin's contribution throughout this series. Australia had many 1st innings collapses (almost 100-5 a couple to three times) and always Haddin came to the rescue. A scintillating series though.

Anyone else think it was really good to see the bowlers get into their own quick little huddle after the last wicket before joining the rest of the team? You can say what you like about the batting unit, you don't win test matches without taking 20 wickets and the Aussie bowling attack of Harris, Johnson, Siddle and Lyon simply tore England apart in that series.

Booked tickets for me, a mate and his brother for the Pink Day (Day 3). I remember being on the phone to that mate when Agar got out for 98 6 months prior and saying "we'll white wash them when they come down here". What a feeling to see the end of that Ashes series and "Australia win the Ashes 5-0" on the big screen that day.

Such a brilliant experience going to day 3 can't ask for a better day of test cricket.

This was the only match Rankin played for England in his test career

Haddin was an amazing keeper/batsman

The most bravest award should go to stokes. Johnson continued his sadism and meanness to the extreme through the series, terrified the englishmen the most, and yet stokes sledged him. What a man, what a player. Should have said a few more, just to enhance the excitement of this otherwise boring series, as stokes might have felt

I don’t think the Barmy Army really care if they lose, I’m an Aussie and when I’ve been to a match they’re always happy and chanting even if they’re about to lose by an innings. Winning is just a bonus for them.
