Thank you so much for going slow through the greetings. It was wonderful to here how and under what circumstance each greeting should be used. Yes, your bonus tip is spot on. We have family in Italy and that is a standard greeting both hello and good-bye.

That was an excellent explanation of giorno vs giornata. It's the same in French with jour and journée and while I got it intuitively, I wasn't sure how to explain it. Spanish even has día and jornada, though not used quite the same way! Loving your content and hope to learn much more Italian!

You are a really good teacher. I appreciate your classes. I know Spanish well, but to me. I find Italian a bit more difficult...at least for now. i know it's not difficult for you, lol. For example, I forgot that sir is signore and not signor....I kind of mixed Spanish with Italian because sir in Spanish is senor. Actually, the Spanish n looks like this ñ. I am a little shy in speaking Italian. Hopefully, by next month, I will be less shy. Suki

Absolutely not! Who taught you that? 😂 I would say “arrivederci” is formal and “arrivederla” is extra formal. We would never use “arrivederci” with friends or family. I would use it for example when exiting a shop or hanging up a call with somebody I don’t know. It’s good you stumbled on my video :)
