Definitely! It hurts my soul that we may never get The Last Hero in a matching edition 😭

I haven't really read these books (let alone these amazing looking versions), but even then, I feel very sad because of the passing of Sir Terry Pratchett some time ago, who made these stories happen and has effected the hearts and minds of millions. I *have* read Good Omens and enjoyed it.

Just the video I've been waiting for. This collection is amazing.

I didn't realise it was a turntable and was in awe of the editing of this, regardless of me figuring out your wizard's trick this was a beautiful video.

It's interesting going though all the Discworld books like that. Like those 'what's your first thought test'. "Color of Magic" is one of my favorites. That first paragraph or so, about the big bang and "in astroplane that wasn't meant to fly" drew me in like a magnet. And then there's 'Men At Arms" and Cuddy...nice of him to sort out Detritus like that.

Absolutely fantastic. Om collecting these too. Up as g Far as Jongo at the moment so only half way but they are lovely!

There is something so satisfying about having a full collection, hopefully you can get the last five books soon. I am also really frustrated by the fact that we don't seem to be getting a matching edition of The Last Hero but we weren't originally going to get a full collection as it was only the original publisher that produced these editions but then the second publisher realised there was demand and continued.

Why can't they be released in a Deluxe Slipcase for all 42 Books of Discworld and Good Omens? They would be the best way to read these books.

I just got these and the art is gorgeous, but I must say that I am actually pretty dissapointed in the actual quality of the materials. I've not even read them and they've already got some wear on them at the edges and the spine. Despite being marketed as a collectors edition, which is usually sold at a premium, they feel kind of low quality.

@@turtleanton6539 Not sure what you mean, I've had other hardbacks (not Discworld) that are completely fine and super sturdy. While the texture of the material is nice it's too susceptible to wear and tear to be used in a premium product.

I agree. The amount of wear that they show is pretty intense. I have a set of Brandon Sanderson novels in the same style and they are just as bad. I agree that this style of naked hardback is really aesthetically pleasing but there is definitely a massive trade-off between whether you want them to keep looking beautiful or actually want to read the collection.

@@StefanPiano I haven't tried it myself so I don't know how well it will work but I was thinking possibly using a book jacket whilst reading them could help keep them in better condition. The alternative is potentially getting a non-adhesive film like the kind of thing Topping & Co. and Goldsboro use and wrapping the covers but that a more expensive solution as well as changing the aesthetic slightly.

you just cost me 150 dollars
