I built a 640 sq ft tiny house in my backyard over the course of two years. I published 30 videos of the construction, totaling alomst 7 hours of video. I edited down those 30 videos into this start to finish "super cut", running about 2 hours and 45 min long. Hope you enjoy! I watched the whole series, and also watched this whole video. It was inspiring 🎉
Oh man… I just finished the 2 hour video of all the new dream workshop video…. And now I see this almost 3 hour long video… I dig it. Subscribed for that long ass video content, I enjoy it
Absolutely love that you sound proofed the interior walls. Wish builders did this more frequently. Love the video, and love to see the Perkins Brothers help out

Agreed. I have no idea why people don’t insulate inside walls, especially the bathroom & laundry.

Glad you enjoyed it! I wish our main house had soundproofing insulation, especially between bedrooms. I think it's an absolute must!
The perfect supercut to watch on a lazy Sunday afternoon

Impeccable work with precision. I really liked it..., it was very inspiring. I will take this model into consideration.., for my tiny house. Awsome built.., congratulations.
If you want to make your kitchen cabinet installation a whole lot easier, just replace the drywall section where the cabinets are going with the same thickness of plywood. this way you can run the screws anywhere you need to. I even go so far as to mark locations of wires and pipes right on the plywood as you will never see anything after the cabinets go up. You will want to make sure the kitchen floor is level. If it has any rise or drop you will want to find the highest point and find the level from there. I either shim if the base gap is close or scribe cut the toe kicks to match the drop. Another fix that will save your butt down the road is to caulk the interior base joint of the sink base cabinet and drop in a sheet of linoleum that you spray glue into place. This way if anything is spilled or drip the wood will be totally protected. It will protect against stains from the chemicals stored there as well.
I did not know i wanted to watch someone build a house from start to finish, but now here we are

You built an in-law suite with more comforts than home! I'm jealous.
Oh, this is a sweet recycle. Thanks. 2:46:18 of your impeccable content. I consider you, Seth, and Perkins to be a triumvirate of you tube production. The style is quite effective.

Running the gamut of tool quality going from Hart to Sawstop there.
Huge tip, when you run a pull lline make sure you connect a new one at the other end when you pull the cables through. This way if you ever have to run another cable you already have a pull line ran for future access/use.
Hell of a supercut, well done

What a pleasure it is to watch experts at work! Great video!
One way to remove 'permanent' marker (from the tape for instance) is to take the marker and write over the same marks before and then use a rag to wipe off the marks.
Your long videos are the best!! Keep up the great work 👍🏻

When using the sausage inserts, all you need to do is punch several holes, maybe 5-10, into the end of the tube and it’ll come out fine. No need to cut the tip off.
Well this is a rather enjoyable watch
So beautiful
un abbraccio dalla Sardegna complimenti per il lavoro con maestria e professionalita' veramente un capolavoro
looking good!
I used to have a bleed off valve on the cap, when the ball got to the end of the hose, I could drop the ball out soft and gentle. Instead of blowing concrete everywhere.
Do you have termites in your area, and if so, what precautions did you made to stop them eating your new house.
Loved the part about how not to set tile lol good stuff though man
amazing
All very well done with good detail. That must be the US version of a "tiny house" ? 😅 Because that is NOT a tiny house.
Fantastic
WOW!
Holding the sausage gun vertically, use a wire cutter to clip the nub off..
Very good video for a lazy Sunday. The random beeps throughout the video made me think my smoke detectors needed new batteries :-)
I love your choice of Hart tools, over the past year or two I have made that my brand they are priced Right and they really do the job, in my mind one brand One battery, not like it used to be with this that and the other brand and all kinds of different chargers and all kinds of different batteries so very cool love that chainsaw
Is that FENIX on the cabinets? They look awesome!
Enjoyed the video! Thank you! May we assume your favorite word is “SUPER”?
Looking good man. Sorry we didn't get a chance to chat at WBC
Great video. 🙌 Curious though how you leak tested your linesets before actually charging them? 🤔
How were the wood from lowes? Many knots, and bowed? I'm doing take off material list for my 24x28 addition and currently have an estimated wood estimate of $5k from Home depot. I'm guessing lowes may be similar.
In Europe we don’t do that kind of roofing ventilation. Waste of space and by ventilating the interior you could just insulate the roof. And no floor insulation? But very satisfying to watch! Thx
@gianfrancosale3244

In europe we don't do this and we are wrong. Prove of this, nowadays we are trying to do some form of ventilation (also like this one) in new buildings to improve efficiency. And he did floor insulation whit spray foam ;)
how can you check for leaks before pressurizing the line? @1:20:00 What would be leaking if it isn't pressurized?
@RandomPerson-sb5mw

@1:23:00 you can't check for leaks if it isn't pressurized.
Amazing - how much did it cost to build?
Now build a giant home. Not a mansion, a tiny home for giants
I worked for a trex decking company and we never allowed room for expansion. I’m curious what those decks look like now 😂
You tested for leaks on an uncompressed system...? What was going to leak? Once you gassed it yeah but before has got me baffled.
@craftedworkshop

The lines are pre-charged with refrigerant. This is one of the specific details of these MRCOOL DIY systems.
@xbox360Rob
3 ай бұрын
@@craftedworkshop How is it precharged when you have it in 2 pieces. The compressors precharged that what you do when you open the valve, letting the gas into the pipe. The copper pipe is just a pipe, it won't leak with nothing in it 😂 you literally had the end open on it to join it to the next piece... You needed to vacuum the lines then test for leaks using the extra fitting on the valve, after no leaks remove the vacuum then open the gas on the condenser. Where's the gas stay when you have 2 open ends joining them?
I agree
went from milwaukee to dewalt to craftman throgh the video ;)
Very interesting viewing. You are calling it tiny but it is a good size. The round holes that are put up under the roof for ventilation, do they have a screen or something to prevent animals eg bats or possums for making a home in your roof space
Setting blocks without cement they are not afraid that that's going to shift?
in Indiana fire foam is NEVER allowed, my building inspector saw I had used it and tore of a chunck of it took my outside and lite it with his lighter, it burst into flames, it was like adding an accerant to those holes. so i scraped all of the foam out and bought fire caulk
What brand gutter guards please?
🔥🔥

For anybody who is asking, this was recorded during the pandemic.😊
Is the drainage from the tiny to the mains just gravity flow? Or is there a sump? If so what kind? Great video thanks! 2:05:51
@craftedworkshop

Just gravity, thankfully the slope of our yard worked out well to get the tiny house connected to the main sewer line.
You can try using alcohol to remove the marker from the tape

Good job although don’t you think rafter size was a bit overkill
@craftedworkshop

The rafters only had to be that wide to fit the R-38 insulation in the vaulted ceiling. Otherwise, definitely overkill!

Little to no insulation in those exterior walls. I feel sorry for whoever stays inside this house in summer. Rest in peace.
Maybe you should read the instructions on how to open that sausage thing.
I guess you don't have a frost line where you are?
How much you spend for all please
Bees and wasps?
Where in North Carolina are you? I’m not far at all from The Perkin brothers
If I was single with no kids and worked remote I’d definitely do this or in a van just traveling seeing the sights and meeting new people.
Why didn’t you put all the flooring down before putting in the kitchen.
@craftedworkshop
3 ай бұрын
You generally don't want to install cabinets on top of flooring. It's a waste of flooring and restricts the flooring being able to move seasonally.
Is this from covid-19 days?
Lol I'm so confused

I don’t mind this. Bills don’t stop showing up in my mailbox either.
For the most part I think the house came out pretty nice with exception of those horrible soffit vents! I still don’t understand that choice, but… The only other thing is the interior doors. Why not pocket-doors? I guess this would be questions for the architect… ha
Looking for comments..

Great video, great build, clean and well thought out. The mask’s outside though, even during the “pandemic” never made any sense to me, even as an ER worker. I’m not hating just smh at what we were all told and believed lol. Great work though, just subbed. You video “the bookshelf has a secret” is one of my favorites so far.
640sq ft tiny house lol , you want to live in the UK or maybe see an apartment in NY to understand what a tiny house is lol.
Hey man what mask are you wearing? Looks comfy
