[compilation] Phase1 to build a hut [foundation → Roof]
This is a compilation from the series on building a hut, from the foundation to the completion of the roof. We will build a new multi-functional hut with bath and toilet to demolish the water system of an old akiya house. While reusing scrap wood, we will build it using Japanese carpentry skills and traditional Japanese construction methods.

You did a fine job.

would you please tell me the reason why to burn the wood?
@juliejenkins2376
@@riengruankaew7335It helps protect against termites and other insect's. It also protects against mould, moisture, rot, and even Fire! It not only strengthens the wood, it increases stability, durability and even weather proofing. Not to mention, in the right setting and if done well it also looks great. Keep in mind, it's not necessarily as easy or simple as people think. The wood has to be very well seasoned and certain timbers lend itself better to charring than others. Do your research before attempting and oil the timber well afterwards. Some people choose to oil regularly after their first application. Others prefer to leave it natural. I guess that depends on the timber, the application, the area, the weather and personal preference.
Can't wait to see the progress now ...

I don't like uselessly expensive materials
IMO the skill of a carpenter is directly correlated to how casually he or she can work with a pencil in his or hers mouth.
Excellent!
