Technology helps. Without love and compassion one is not normal. Everyone needs this. Technology only tool for improvement. Also can be used to destroy and dehumanize. One then must be very careful. Love the Buddhists. Of course I love everyone.

And Buddhism was created by Gautama Buddha. Dalai Lama must be knowing him for sure. Maybe Dalai Lama wanted to say that there is no 1 God in these 2 religions which originated in India. 1:04:52 Also I feel it important to mention that Hinduism is the Religion with now founder And has many Gods. I would be happy if Dalai Lama would Mention Hinduism(real name: Sanatana Dharma) specially. Jainism and Buddhism have been inspired from Hinduism. But I am feeling very blessed to listen to Dalai Lama and learn good out of his knowledge.

@@aritromunsi2445 there are so many teachings and scriptures of buddha but if you squeeze them all together, it comes to two things "Compassion & Interdependent" His holiness recommended Shantideva's book called Bodhicharya Avatara. Shantideva's exposition of how to engage in the conduct of a bodhisattva་. For the Interdependent he recommended The Madhyamakavatara, Chandrakirti's Introduction to the Middle Way, text on the middle way view by Chandrakirti. But to study this complicated philosophy first you need to learn buddhist basics. There are four tenents in buddhist philosophy. Lower to higher level of philosophy.

I won't be able to get to watch the entirety of this video for a while, but I look forward to it. In the meantime, the initial meeting between Tilly and His Holiness, The Dalai Lama was very sweet. It was also clearly explained to Tilly that every now and then, The Dalai Lama might have to consult his personal aide during points of their conversation which might cut into what Tilly had to say. In buddhism, the topic of making lifespans longer or even permanent is totally paradox, life according to buddhism is endless since beginningless time, reincarnating in successive life forms. If you meditate properly for a veeeery long time doing tibetan yogi practices, rebirth feels like changing clothes, so focus on the permanent and not on an impermanent body. Besides, meditation has great benefits afterall. And the idea that life is just in only one body is somehow bringing up the idea to make body lifespan permanent. Life allready is permanent (most dont notice because theyre not conscious of reincarnation process, whereas Dalai Lama is), but not attatched to a body.

The sad thing is, while we are working so hard to create technology to improve our lives and the lives of others. We fail to understand that it is the human connection between us all that really uplifts the world, this is why we are in such a state now. Technology has made our lives easier but has disconnected us spiritually from one another. We are connected more now than we ever have been and yet we have never been so alone as we are now.

hes so childlike in his ways and reactions. is it possible for a man of 86 lived through our world still be so pure to be a child ast heart... i lost my innnocence at 7.. id love to have his childlike wonder still. all i feel is cold most days...
