Carbon fiber grips: Falcon Grips and Rx Grips
Main characteristics of this fabric.
- Very resistant
- Weighs just
- It is rigid and hard so it takes a while to get into shape for training
Differences between RX and Falcon
- Falcon: The most resistant grip
2.5m thick (option of 2H, 3H and no holes). It consists of two fabrics, carbon fiber + soft inner fabric for contact with the skin. The most durable. Preferred by top world-class athletes. Ideal for people who have a very high training volume and high weight.
- Rx: The best quality-price street
1.8mm thick (option of 2H, 3H and no holes). Same as the Falcon but thinner. They only consist of a single fabric, carbon fiber. The bar feels more. Very durable. Ideal for people with high training volume, but not so heavy.
Azor Grips: The most versatile
- The most versatile and adapt to all levels
- 2.2mm thickness
- They are softer and more comfortable and have a shorter adaptation period
- They have an inner layer that provides them with greater softness
- Option with 2H, 3H and without holes
Golden Eagle grips: The best grip
- Golden Eagle grips are without holes
- 2.2mm thickness
- The best grip thanks to its 'Micro Diamonds' fabric, with double extrusion of microdots
- very light
- Recommended for competition due to its extreme grip
- Not recommended for day-to-day training, or for people over 85kg, as they are very thin and excess training or weight will reduce their durability
Condor Grips: The most comfortable and suitable for day to day
- Thickness 2.4mm
- Made with a fabric called Technical Fabric that provides grip and conform
- Very comfortable, soft, and flexible
- Very versatile and recommended for any person and level
- The best grips for day-to-day training, resistant, great grip, and with high protection
Conclusions
- The grips are an aid to protect the hand and improve performance
- There is no universal street for everything. You must select the one that best suits you according to your weight, grip shape, and what you will use it for.
- It is important to have strength in the base grip. Also, that strength is useful for other cross-training exercises like cleans, snatches, etc.
- Like everything, they have their adaptation period
- As they are used, the grip will improve since when it works by friction works better on rough surfaces.
- Magnesium is our friend (do not demonize it). It is one more strategy to gain grip. Very useful against sweat
- To prevent sweat from reaching the calla, or to avoid chafing and discomfort, a long wristband can be worn under the calla

what kind of PicSil grip is recomended for chalked bars? We've got not stainless steel bars but often rests of chalk on it. Are there grips working better and/or worse with chalk?
