Saw it at the cinema. I have two copies on VHS in different formats: NTSC and PAL. The NTSC copy is sealed. I also have the movie tie-in book.

I am waiting on the David Gordon Green cut where Kinderman reads Chris McNeil's book and realises that none of this would happen if it were not for the damn patriarchy! LOL

👺⚔️✝️📿🧑🏼‍💼For me i've always gravetted towards, the theatrical version a lot more. As it is the much crisper sharper execution in it's viewingship. However i still can appreciate for what. William Peter Blatty was trying to activate with the Legion cut, as it's still intriguing to see it. 🇬🇧

Definitely prefer the theatrical cut. Ninth Configuration is what happened when Blatty made his “own movie”.

Theatrical cut is way better, more in line with the franchise. I know that's not what Blatty wanted but what he wanted wouldn't have worked at that time (maybe now it works better) and I think the studio was right in this case. Legion the book was more of a loose sequel to The Exorcist, that's what he intended this film to be at first before the reshoots.
