Comparing the Colt Python and Colt Anaconda Re-Upload 2023
Reupload - no background music. Colt Python vs Colt Anaconda .357 Magnum and .44 Magnum. In this video we show the differences between the ever popular Colt Python revolver chambered in .357 Magnum, and the beast of the revolver the Colt Anaconda chambered in 44 Magnum. The Colt Python was introduced in the 1950's and continued production until around 2003. The Colt Anaconda was a late introduction in the early 1990's to compete with manufacturers such as the Ruger Redhawk, the Ruger Blackhawk, and the Smith & Wesson Model 29 which already had 44 Magnum models in the marketplace. Both the Colt Python and the Colt Anaconda were discontinued around 2003 due to waning sales on the revolvers. After it's discontinuation, the Colt Python became a highly sought after collector revolver due to influences such as video games and a later surge with the Walking Dead. The Colt Python was the revolver carried by the Rick Grimes character in the Walking Dead. During this time period the value of the Colt Python nearly tripled in value. Fans of the Colt Snake guns such as the Colt Python and the Colt Anaconda urged colt to start manufacturing the popular Colt Revolvers again. The Colt Pythons started hitting the shelves in 2020 and the Colt Anaconda in 2021.

I couldn't get it out of my head that these two like Rick and Corey from Pawn Stars. Maybe the Chinese knockoff versions?
Just bought a colt anaconda 8 inch barrel, where to find a scope mount.
I also own a Colt Python built in 1989 and I have shot that gun multiple times. I usually hit what I aim at with my Colt Python.

Good to see new Colt production of the Python & Anaconda. Now those who always wanted one but were priced out can get it.
There are too many jump cuts, and the amount of sound suppression on the audio is excessive. Othere than that, nice video.

The Colt Anaconda 2021 is a different beast than the original. Much longer and wider cylinder on the 2021 Anaconda. And the rotation of the cylinder turns into the frame while other rotations on revolvers other than Colt rotate away from the frame.
Would like to know more about the rib why they help?

Very nice equipment! To help improve the channel, define specific topics about the guns**, and do the comparisons together vs. all about one gun and then the other. Also, more close-up shots would be nice to see. Ya'll are handsome, but the guns are what we want to see. ** triger pull, weight, grip feel (small vs. large hands), balance, recoil, accessories, holsters, disassembly/reassembly, chamber/round definitions, and so on.

I’ve never owned or shot a Python, but did own a Dan Wesson 15-2 in 357 mag. It’s my understanding that Dan Wessons were great target guns, just wondering how they compared to a Python ?

Every python I have ever seen has a vent rib on the top. The one you have does not and I like it better. I looked all over the internet and I could not find a python without the vent rib

I watching Wednesday on Netflix and the teacher is using what looks like a colt anaconda as a starting pistol and it has the wheel release on the left side and every example of the colt anaconda and colt python I see it does t have the wheel release button on the left side my question is what is similar to the colt Anaconda has 5 spaces on the rail above the barrel and the push button wheel release on the left side is it a smith and Wesson

I just picked up my Anaconda and I'm comparing it to my Python and it seems like the Python has a more polished shine to it compared to the Anaconda which it a more matte look. Has anyone noticed a difference?

Ya know...I haven't really noticed that. I've seen that my anaconda wipes down much easier than my python but as far as the polish goes I guess I'm not too sure. They always seemed to be about the same to my eye. Do you notice your python holding onto residue with quite a bit more tenacity? I've had to scrub the life out of mine just to get it somewhat clean. Never can get it all the way.

depends on which anaconda you have. some of them do have the matte finish. others do not. I’ve seen both non matted side by side. you could see your reflection in the Python and the anaconda.
I don’t know about the guy saying the new ones are better than the old Colt Python. I went to a local gun store last month and they had a Colt Python that was built in 1982 never shot except at the factory. The gun was selling for $3,500.00. Looking at the Python was blued and super shiny. The Colt Python was definitely worth $3,500.00. In my opinion.
