Recently acquired a 4.25" Anaconda in addition to the 6" and 8" models I previously purchased. Hands down the finest looking and performing 44 Mag double action revolver available today. I harvested two whitetails last fall with the 8" model. Only criticism of the new Anaconda (or Python) is the rear sight. I've replaced all my new model Python and Anaconda rear sights with Wilson Combat adjustable rear sights.

Congratulations on the deer harvest! Please provide insight on the rear sight modification. I have only shot mine 8-inch Anaconda indoors (7 yards) up to this point, but plan to shoot outdoors at greater distances.

I'm extremely glad that Colt has returned to the revolver market with classic designs that have been freshened up.

I just received mine about two weeks ago and simply can not believe the double action trigger pull. I may be the best of any hand gun!

Now that CZ has purchased Colt, it would be a fine idea to make a video about Colt's plans for the future. Every firearms enthusiast in the nation wants to see Colt do well under new ownership, but they also know that some less than wonderful things have tarnished Colt's reputation as well. Addressing this in a straight forward way would go a long way towards letting your fans know what we can expect.

I just got the 8 inch barrel version. Can’t wait to take it out and try it on the range. The action is unbelievably smooth.

My wife and fur babies got this weapon today for my birthday. I love it.

That designer should slow down on his excitement and contain his willingness to explain all the pride and joy in the project.

Nice revolver it's good to see them bring back the 44 magnum back. I'll wait and hope they do one in a 4inch barrel. That will make a nice carry for bear country .

Agreed. Same here. I’ll wait for the 4 inch barrel. I bought the 4.25 inch Python and it is baaaad asss and easy to carry.

I would love to see a topic tuesday on the Gold Cup National Match! It would be great to see the features and finish up-close and discussed in detail.

I wonder if you guys would tell Airsoft companies with a Colt license to please create an full metal Airsoft gas, spring, or CO2-powered airsoft replica of the Anaconda to celebrate the occasion.

From what Ive experienced so far the new Anaconda is better new and improved over the old Anaconda. For one the new trigger feels nicer and is more smooth to me than the old one. I think Colt has a serious winner here! I paid about $1800 for mine and Im happy to report it is well worth it. The only other production revolver that comes close to the quality is the Dan Wesson revolvers and sadly I havent seen the new ones for sale anymore. If thats the case than get the Colt!

Lessons learned the hard way: Fact 1: If you so much as take the side plate off, you void the warranty. Fact 2: If you attempt to buff out a scratch in the finish, you void the warranty. Fact 3: Colt does not sell parts to their revolvers. On their website, if you select Accessories > Parts, the website points you to Midway USA and Brownells (both of which have a pathetically limited selection).

Hopefully I’ll find one! Still waiting for a brass bead or gold front sight for my 2020 Python. I wish Colt would produce the interchangeable front sight in-house so maybe we could actually buy one. For the past year it’s been an unusable feature.

@@ezrabrooks12 I only buy something after having done extensive research on it. The old Anaconda was junk. Anything that this 2021 model offers is simply an improvement over the old. I am sure you are upset your old Anaconda is getting dethroned.

Great insight on the new Anaconda. It is good to see you guys back with the videos.

Colt could've been the most iconic American gun maker. They stopped selling ARs to the public. They thought their gvt contract was all they needed. Then, the exclusive contract went away. You can get an AR from Colt. CR6920. Remember the LE6920? What you get now and what you got then are NOT the same. The LE6920 of old was IDENTICALto the gvt contract military guns, except for the fire control and 14.5 vs 16 in barrel. The lowers were marked M4 Carbine, the current ones are marked Carbine. The barrel was marked 13629, the stock, and the charging handle was all marked 13629. The new guns have nothing that makes someone want a Colt over everything else except the Pony. FN sells a tribute gun thats a military replica. They have the receiver markings but not the other markings because they can't. Colt owns rights for that and doesn't allow it. Colt could sell an exact match to their military contract guns, once again, but they don't. They are trying to be competitive price wise, perhaps, but have alienated the purists. The pony says military legit and in reality it's not. It used to be . The old LE6920 was. Gotta find an old one if you want the real deal. Just like the Python,King Cobra, Anaconda, or Diamondback . They used to be awesome guns. Top tier stuff. Now, they do just enough to get by, slap the name on it and charge like it's old school product, even though you can put them side by side and clearly see they are not the same.

The trigger is so much smoother than the Python. It's soft and silky and breaks like glass. The single action trigger is lighter than 5 lbs. Double action is steady also. If I miss the bullseye it's because I wasn't concentrating. I was shocked. I've had the Python longer and the trigger still not as smooth yet as the Anaconda was out of the box.

Got both length Anacondas yesterday at just under msrp and wow the action is smoother than both the new pythons I got

If only you could get one for the msrp of 1,600 the ones I see available are in the 3-4k range LMAO

Wilson Combat makes improved Colt Steel rear adjustable sights and front sight. This Anaconda needs that improved sighting capability from Wilson Combat.

I’ll be waiting for the 4 inch version myself. This would be a back up gun so carrying a 6-8inch barrel as a back up gun is insane. I have the 4.25 inch Python and it’s a perfect size for a back up back country gun.

The big question is can CZ get Colts act together so Colt will produce more then a small trickle of product.

Colt products were through the roof and moving fast up until a few months ago. Now it’s stalled out but people are still asking the same price even though it’s not moving like it was. I bought my OC1911 new back in 2019 for under $700.00. They were selling immediately last year and the beginning of this year for $1,200.00 or more. It was crazy.

Hope this snake gun doesn’t come off the factory line with problems.

“This large frame leaf spring design is a 1st from Colt.” Glad there’s a full line of DA’s again, but a large frame leaf spring’s been done before: Colt New Service. Yes it wasn’t chambered in 44MAG but the New Service was also out of production before the cartridge debuted. Just the New Anaconda isn’t the 1st large bore Colt leaf spring revolver.

They still haven’t brought back the 22LR Diamondback.

Will it come out in eather a .45 Colt or maybe a .41 mag ?

Recently bought one.........previously owned a 1992 used model Anaconda more than a decade ago, and apparently, that particular revolver suffered prior usage as a camp tool. It was beat, hence I sent it back on a three day inspection. This new model six incher is superbly finished, generally pleasing, overall. I have just one issue with my new Anaconda; the trigger face has three sharp edges which will cut my trigger finger. Colt should have made the trigger face SMOOTH, not sharp edged, serrated. Smooth triggers should be available as replacements for the current sharp cutter triggers. I'm going to remove my trigger, and reface it to prevent injuries as a result of firing the revolver. I'd love to talk to the person at Colt, who thought a sharp faced trigger would be the way to go. FOOLISH PERSON they are! ~DDZZ

Bought one a couple weeks ago. It pairs nicely with my 2020 Python, as they are 6" barreled. Can't wait until both are reissued in the royal blue finish. Hmmmm, there goes the kids' college tuition accounts. 🤔

Hey, was looking for some help on the Anacondas, please. Specifically it seems there's 2 engraved models out? There's the Davidson engraved models with rubber grips, and another with wood grips, the label marked "Armory Style B+ Coverage Cut Engraving," "Custom Shop Model." The UPC code appears the same. From pictures it does appear, maybe, there's slight differences in the engraving. Of course, I'm looking at internet pictures, so, there's that. :) Aside from different grip sets, can anybody tell me the differences between the engraving, if any? Is one of higher quality? Is there any other differences between the 2 models? Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

But will the cylinder stop spinning when you shoot 44Mag? Will the rear sight wobble? Will it be another nightmare like the 2020 Python ended up being for thousands of owners?

Certainly, CZ just purchased colt and I'm sure CZ is itching to add more revolvers to the line up. I say this b/c right after they purchased colt they discontinued their only revolver, the dan wesson 715.

With Garrett Cartridges of Texas this 2021 Anaconda ought to be able to use the Hammer Head 330 grain hardcast gas-check flat meplat bullet loading that they load.

I handload 300 grain CPWNFPGC lead bullets, with H110 max powder charges for my new 6" 2021 Anaconda. Excellent combination. Makes it an accurate, high velocity, hog/buck butt-buster; and I have no problem carrying it for self defense against ANY would-be predators.

Is the cylinder considered a single point lock-up ?. I do not see even a detent on the end of the ejector rod .

FINALLY!!!! My original Anaconda became a "safe queen" and I have not shot in years. Now I can purchase one to actually shoot, after I take out a second mortgage.....

I agree with the other comments, where is the front sights for the new snake guns? A lot of new Cobra/King Cobra owners will like an orange ramp sight or brass bead. Colt brags about the option of being able to change out the front sights with a simple turn of an Allen key but there is no availability online to purchase new sights. Smh

Will Colt still be Colt once CZ takes over design and production decisions? Will the CZ Colts be indistinguishable from pre-CZ Colts. I'm glad I have my two actual real Colts instead of what CZ might do to the brand.

"Ach du lieber, mein schatz"! Gorgeous gun!! Wish it would have had a nice MATT FINISH so as to not show fingerprints! How is the LOCKUP of the crane to the frame? Not discussed here, a bad omission (maybe intended?)! Can it compare to a Ruger revolver, with three lockup points, especially at the front of the crane?! My guess is NO! I'd hate to see the MSRP - whoa mamma!!! But nonetheless a gorgeous gun. For $19.95 plus S&H, I'd buy one ASAP! Probably wrong on the cost though!!!

I had an old anaconda it had over a 3/32" of play in the crane so the cylinder never locked tight and it had a lot of cosmetic forging defects sold it and until they restart selling ARs to public I'm not buying anything from them

They’re selling AR’s again, and started before they were bought by CZ. Hopefully this will stop now that Colt is no longer owned by a hedge fund. I think they realized they were missing out on a lot of sales during the pandemic.

Yeah, throw in an extra cylinder for shooting .45 acp with moon clips and you have a great gun for IPSC Revolver match!

Would have been nice if the person who assembled my anaconda didn’t drop the cylinder assembly on the edge of the yoke and dent the edge. Would have been nice if my 6 inch Python didn’t have a chip out of the crown. Would have been nice.

Like to have an Anaconda and a Pyrhon but won't pay the ridiculous prices that the dealer scalpers are asking.

"Give your Colt stocking dealer a call".... Yeah sure did.... The ones listed locally near me in Northwest Indiana (theres 5), either A) Didn't know anything about the Colt Anaconda 2021, and couldn't order it. B) Or you cannot order from them, "whenever they come in, just gotta keep checking". I literally had one of your Colt stocking dealers tell me that they will not order me one, I would have to come in or find a "private seller". It's ridiculous, the dealers know they probably scalp people and over charge for it. This inside buyer stuff is ridiculous, look as of right now there is ONE up on Gunbroker, that is not from an FFL, but from a person. That guy wants a $5000 buy out for this. Also! I had a family member call Colt two days ago, and explained our situation, someone from Colt said we should "shop out side of the area or out of state". How is one suppose to even buy one of your products, if this how the industry is going to treat people interested in one of your products from your product line?
