Comparing Kose Suncut UV Super Waterproof Gel and Essence

I bought both the kose waterproof perfect gel and essence together a few weeks ago because i wanted to know the difference. The 2 sunscreen provide spf 50 PA++++
Both products has similar price point but the waterproof essence is slightly more pricy than gel. The waterproof gel cost around $11 while the waterproof essence cost around $16 depending on where you buy.
Both products has off white creamy consistency that feels very moisturising on my skin. Both sunscreen are creamy but the only difference is the essence version is slightly lighter than gel. Lastly All the sunscreen doesnt have visible whitecast.
Overall i dont think there is much difference with both products.

I also noticed that the gel one does not go with make up, it piles up. And there is ethanol in it, probably that is the reason. I do not know about the essence.
Do you know where i can find the expiry date? just bought the essence version handcarry from Japan. Thanks :)

I have used both. None has pile up and it serves as good base for make up...just like a primer

@Currycarikawaii That's a possible reason. For suncut, you also do not need the 3 finger rule for application. The excess stays on the skin surface because its water proof.
