With Qor it's really easy to pick up too much on your brush. That could be why some of the swatches seem more opague. Thank you for the video!

Aw your so sweet and i subscribed! I LOVE QOR!! Using their colors i feel like a rebel in a way lol! Since their binder is unique i had to try them! The only complaint I have is that they haven't come out with any new colors and years and the range isn't that wide as other brands. Also I would like to see some unique granulating and color separating colors in the future like Daniel Smith for example. Also i love the new polish brand Aquarius roman shmal ...i spelled that wrong i know lol. These paints have nice cheaper dupes for daniel smith. Anyway i loved your video. Thank you and God bless!

Aww thank you for watching the video, subscribing and commenting 😊. I do like the QoR watercolours, they’re fab! But I agree with you about the lack of colours, they are also very expensive. I will have to look out for the polish brand you mentioned, I’m always on the hunt for new paints - to the annoyance of my boyfriend 😂

Thanks for taking the time to do this and show us the results! the artist Anna Bucciarelli is very fond of Qor, which I have never tried.

I’ve never used Qor so this was a good video for me, thank you. The result of the last test was surprising!

Thanks for sharing! I use DS, WN professional, and W&N Cotman. I mainly use DS, and it was very pricey building my set. I’ve been tempted to try the QOR 24 set, so I’ve been looking for swatch and comparison videos. Also, the perm alizarin crimson for QOR pr 177, Daniel smith also has a PR177 that is very similar called Anthraquinoid Red that I use instead of Alizarin Crimson. Also, the result of the last test was very interesting. I’ve heard it’s very easy to pick up a lot of QOR pigment, and during the swatch test it definitely looks like much more pigment is used than DS, creating an opaque effect. It looks like the same happened on the last test-the QOR look “more vibrant” bc much more pigment was used than the DS. If the same amount of pigment was used for the DS side, the DS would be just as vibrant.

I'm just using them also for the first time and I'm already in love. Is it also your new favourite? ;)

Haha yes they are definitely my new favourites, I love how vibrant they are. I’m really pleased with the set I got as well as nearly all are single pigments and lovely for mixing.

Your Daniel smith sap green is missing a pigment code. It also has pg7 in it. Both are a triple pigment paints.

The funny thing about Permanent Alizarin Crimson is that it's more fugitive than Alizarin Crimson 😂 Anthraquinone Red (PR 177) will fade to nothing in tints.

@@TammyNewmanArt Kimberly Crick (another watercolor KZreadr) has some videos showing the fading of paints and mixtures (like Daniel Smith's Moonglow) that contain PR 177, her website has more details: www.kimcrick.com/pages/red-art-supply-pigment-database-watercolor-acrylic-ink-pencil-color-chart-swatch (you have to scroll quite a bit to get to PR 177)
