Thank you for the lesson. Happy birthday 🎉 ❤🎂🎁 !!!!!! I believe there are some misleading sentences: - In sentence 3, under the locative/prepositional case, "3. он стоит у дома" (he is standing by the house), I believe it is the genitive case and not the locative/prepositional case, as it is after the preposition у + genitive, right? - Also, in sentence 3, under the accusative case, "3. он подошёл к дому" (=he approached home), it is a dative case and not the accusative case as it is after the preposition к + dative. - Finally, in sentence 1, under the locative/prepositional case, "1. они живут за границей" "(=they live abroad), here we have the instrumental case as it follows the preposition за + instrumental (when no movement is involved). за is followed by the accusative when movement is involved. Hi. As far as I'm aware: За + instrumental case and к + dative case

Yes, but За + instrumental case only applies when no movement is involved. If movement is involved, then За + accusative. You are also right for к + dative case. Also, in the sentence "3. он стоит у дома", the preposition у is followed by the genitive case and not the locative/prepositionnal.
