En mi modesta opinión, tanto uno bajo como el otro están hechos a máquina. Hace unos días estuve probando un Fender de 2300 euros, y me pareció un instrumento de fábrica. Estos instrumentos se fabrican a cientos, y el precio a pesar de que pueda parecer alto, no lo es en comparación con cualquier instrumento hecho a mano. Un violín para un profesional no baja de los 15000 euros, pero está hecho a conciencia. Los instrumentos de fabrica son lo que son.

I prefer the Harley Benton. Also you don't need to pull the bass apart to adjust the truss rod on the HB

Great demo. Thanks. I have the Harley Benton and have been thinking about upgrading to a Fender but what I hear from this demo is that the HB is very close. I have tried Fender 62 pickups and they sounded different - more mid focussed - but they were also a bit stuffy so I took them out again. Might try Seymour Duncan.

I really think it depends on each situation. For me, being a multi-instrumentalist and having the piano as the main character, Harley Benton is more than enough. The sound is not bad for me. Just different.

Wow maybe close comparison, I see a bit of the fender clarity a bit. But the Harley best bang for bucks for aure

I mean yes, the Fender sounds better, but not 8 times as much. However they ask 8 times the price

Nice comparison. The Fender sound a bit more bright, a bit fresher. But with the Lollar pickups the comparison is not quite fair. The pickups alone cost more dan de HB. And how about the strings? Are the strings on the HB the standard strings which come standard with the HB? And what kind of strings are used on the Fender? Good strings will make a difference, obviously. But thanks for the video anyway, I enjoyed it.

Fender ....pay for the name

The HB sounds good and on the face of it seems infinitely better value than the Fender. However, as an illustration, I bought a 1974 Fender P-bass in 1974 for £235. I’ve still got it and it plays and sounds as brilliantly as it did when new - it’s still a stage grade instrument that could grace any gig anywhere. Going by online prices, I think I could probably get in the region of £1,500 - 2000. The same cannot be said of the Harley Benton. You really do get what you pay for. 😎

@@stbn7777 actually joking aside you might have a point. An HB might last for a long time if properly looked after. I did see a budget Bass shootout a few months back and the HB did well but the reviewer said the fretwork wasn’t that great but overall it scored well

Fender. No cabe duda. El timbre que ofrece no lo tiene el Harley Benton. Eso no quiere decir que el Harley Benton sea mal bajo.

Primero!!! Jejeje Pues, es mi opinión, pero Fender se pasa con los precios tela y creo que por ese precio se pueden tener cosas mucho mejores. (Haters a mi!!! Jajaja) pero ya te digo, es mi opinión y esta prueba, siendo claros demuestra que hay cosas muy baratas que pueden sonar mejor. Un abrazo crackencio!!!!

Es el fender de Pablo Casal 😁 a mi me mola mucho el sonido. Yo pensaba que tenía sonidaco JB con mi Hrley Benton...pero al comparar...el fender se lo come. Al hacer notas base tipo pop rock...no hay tanta diferencia. Pero en slap...tela.

y porqué no le pones las Lollar al HB? Ahí tienes esa diferencia de sonido tan definida entre uno y otro.

Que te parece el HB para aprender a tocar? Llevo muchos años tocando la guitarra y pensaba darle una oportunidad al bajo. Tenia en mente comprarme un pequeño cabezal de Hotone para tocar con cascos. Si la cosa me engancha quiza me plantearia un G&L o un Sire. Pero es para ir iniciandome. Precioso jazzbass por cierto :) Saludos!

Buenas!! La verdad que para aprender, cualquiera. Para mí es más importante que el bajo esté bien ajustado, que la calidad del bajo. Busca videos en youtube de cómo ajustar un bajo para que las cuerdas no queden separadas del mastil, y ya. Sobre el cabezal...igual ni te hace falta. Si tienes tarjeta de sonido, puedes usar virtuales desde el pc.

@@stbn7777 bueno, es por tener algo decente entre manos 😂 como minimo que aguantecla afinacion. No tengo una tarjeta de sonido muy alla asi que el hotone me viene bien. Son solo 75 euros. Le echare un ojo al ajuste de cuerdas, gracias! :)

En construcción, prefiero HB. En cuanto a sonido, ahí ya no se que decirte 😁

Take the Benton’s electronica out, replace the (decent!) Roswell pickup with a Lollards or Haüssel, the 3 potentiometer with CTS and solder a oil in paper capacitor. The total cost will be around € 400 (including the bass!) but you will have a Jazz bass that will destroy the normal Fender and rival their “custom shop” products. What does not change the fact it is FENDER who invented this brilliant design and the resale value of a Fender will always be far better than an Harley Benton..

Entonces esa profundid en los grabes que tiene el Fender y le falta al HB se debe a las Lollar o es la combinación de pastis y maderas? a mi el fender me suena mas redodo, por ponerle una palabra... habría que ver el HB conlas Lollar

mmm...exactamente habría que hacer eso, sí. Poner Lollar en el HB. Estoy concencido que las Lollar hacen el 80% de ese sonido. Pero valen mucho mas que el propio bajo...

Si el fender suena un poco mejor pero esa diferencia en precio solo es marca porque el HB suena muy bien también un poco de menos poder, fácil lo igualo con mi Tech 21 ahora siempre hay que comparar manzanas con manzanas no Peras con manzanas hay diferencia en sonido entre el diapasón de arce vs rosewood

¿Crees que la causa fe la diferencia en sonido se debe más a la madera del diapasón que a las pastillas?

El Fender se oye mucho mejor es obvio, pero creo que es por la electrónica de cada instrumento, son distintas.

Ésa es mi gran duda. Si al HB le quito las pastillas Wilkinson y le pongo otras, ¿igualaría en sonido al Fender? No me atrevo a hacer la prueba, porque tampoco me disgusta el sonido de las wilkinson. Y ahí es donde está todo el quit de la cuestión: 140€ y suena genial.

El HB se ve muy bien, estoy esperando el mio que llega el Jueves, lo pedí en Sunburst, pienso que se le puede sacar buen sonido, también hay que tener en cuenta las maderas de ambos bajos, si llegaras hacer la prueba, seria genial otro video. Saludos Esteban

Pero no era la intención. La idea es comparar sonido de un bajo muy barato con otro bueno. Y ver si vale la pena la diferencia de dinero. Evidentemente, a unos sí les vale la pena y a otros no. No era interesante hacer una comparación justa.

fender certainly sounds a bit better...but it doesnt sound $1000 better. im grabbing a harley benton personally.

Aquí lo que escucho, es un bajo Fender sonando a Fender, Y un bajo HB que imita estéticamente a un JB Fender, Pero no suena ni de cerca, Sin embargo , soy guitarrista y llegue aquí por ver qué tal suena el HB, y a pesar que no suena a un JB, sonar, suena muy pero muy bien, mejor que cualquier bajo barato que haya tocado y por la línea de los 350 y 1000 euros, hablo de lo que escucho por los cascos y en los demás vídeos, Quiero comprarme uno y no tengo pasta para un JB de 2300 euros, Así que seguro le caigo a este bajo, 148 euros y para tocar y grabar una que otra cosa, En guitarras si soy más piquis miquis , ya que es mi instrumento,

totalmente de acuerdo. El Fender es brutal, y el HB le falta para igualarlo. Pero cuando comparas los precios...uff. Da que pensar. Te aconsejo el HB con los ojos cerrados, pero no dejes de probar los Squier JazzBass baratos. Suenan también increíbles.

Esteban Rodriguez ahí ya me agarras, no recuerdo haber probado algún squier, en algún vídeo vi a uno tocando un jazz bass Squier con un Chanel strip de UA. el LA-610 MKII, el cual tengo y sonaba muy bien casi iba a la saca, Pero el precio de la HB tira mucho, HB tiene uno que imita un bajo de mi Primo que es un Fender PB Deluxe, es decir tiene pastillas PB y una JB, Y este HB hace los mismo, de 5 cuerdas por 168 me parece, Lo que no sé si habrá mucha diferencia en un HB de 4 o 5 cuerdas en tema de estabilidad, Al ser un bajo económico, Has probado en esta marca alguno de 5 cuerdas, por saber si hay alguna diferencia notable?

@@garajestudio1583 pues la verdad es que no. De 5 cuerdas sólo he probado algún yamaha. Y el sonido era muy diferente. No sonaba a JB.
