Reason I got one of these is because I know they are simple to maintain so as long as you don't overload them and clean the filters they should last long. I'm going 10 years on a portable washing machine that I myself maintain and I've seen my same model in the garbage by others who I believe abused them. Good tutorial.

This is fantastic! I have the Bush version. I've had it over a year but a few months ago (Out of warranty) it tripped the house fuse box and stopped working. I was going to throw it away and live without one, but this helped make me have a look. Pulling it apart, I found the little fuse had blown. I've been all over the machine and can't find a short. Putting a new fuse in, it seems to work, so I'm just waiting for it to do another fuse. My guess would be the heater, but thanks to you, I know where it is and what readings I'm looking for. Thanks!

Wonderful video, Great teacher! Love my little Panda dryer... I've had it over 6 years and I bought it from a Freight Damage store for $60 USD! The only blemish it had was the metal case at the timer was dinged. I pulled the drum, fixed the ding and have used it with very few failures! It's a reliable workhorse and very simplistic straight forward design. Currently, I have a No Heat situation I will be trouble shooting. Thank you for the upload👍 Edit: I'll probably have to stay with a US store as shipping from Great Britain to Oklahoma would be horrible, I presume.

I found that if you put clothes or anything on the top of the dryer when it's operating, the dryer will eventually overheat and trip the thermal cutoff (so, don't do that). If that happens, simply turn the dryer switch to off and let the unit cool down to room temperature. The top of the dryer should be cool to the touch - not warm for the switch to reset. Then close the door and turn the switch to on and you should be good to go.

We started hearing a louder, lower pitched motor noise when the dryer starts cold, but then after about 10 minutes of use, the motor goes back to normal sound. Still drying the same, exhaust is perfectly clear. We cleaned it all out, and noticed a gap between drum felt and drum on one side, but no other obvious issues. Thoughts?

Mine had pet fur, hair, and a sweater string wrapped around the ring of the air system 0:40. It was causing the dryer to overheat specially around the heat fuse/small filter by the door on my panda. And it was tough to turn the drum. I had to take everything apart and clean it out DEEPLY. I’m about to put it back together. I’ll let you know if it was a successful solution.

I immediately unplugged it, waited a few minutes before plugging it back in again, it wouldn't start. Waited some more and it started working again. I allowed it to cool down at least 30 minutes. I guess it tripped the safety system because it was overheating. I believe all due to my new towels that are releasing a bunch of lint.

I have had a few problems with these making noises and most of the time it is because the base plate on the machine has moved. This can be due to someone putting the machine down hard, but if the base plate warps in any way it can cause noises to appear. Have a great Christmas and a happy New Year. I hope this rectified your problem. glad we could help you @ms50fifty this is for you kzread.infoe432SAb2g08 please remember to subscribe as that's what keeps this channel going. Thanks 👍

Have a Panda. When turned on it starts, runs for a couple of minutes, starts heating up and then shuts off, and it won't start again at all for some time (till it cools down?". Anyone have a diagnosis for this? I am not a pro, or even a handy person, but if I had specifics I might try a repair.

adam podlofsky this could either be a bad wiring connection or you may have a thermostat cutting in and out. this is for you kzread.infoe432SAb2g08 please remember to subscribe as that's what keeps this channel going. Thanks 👍

Same problem. I have a Panda (model PAN865w) as well. Purchased two years ago February 2021. Mine has a touch control panel rather than a control knob setting. Panda does not provide anything in their manual to identify parts nor a schematic diagram of the dryer, other than the most rudimentary/ basic identification of the dryer. I've spent days trying to find solutions and/or parts to avoid dumping this dryer in the landfill. I bought it new for nearly $300. I'm a senior on a fixed income. I've never overloaded it and have cleaned both lint filters faithfully after EVERY load. At most I do my laundry twice a month. The problem is not belts..I removed the back panel a few days ago. It's an electrical issue that's preventing it from operating correctly. WHERE TO PURCHASE PARTS? And identifying the necessary parts is the issue. I'm extremely frustrated, angry and feel as if I threw nearly $300 out the window. If by chance you resolve your issue I would be so grateful if you'd share the solution and where you got the parts.

The 1 that connects to the External fan, which turns the air in the machine. Broken pulley wheel was making it smell burnt, not having the belt on it, and making the noise of the fan sound mad loud when the belt was on the half boken pulley wheel!

+Kyesha Fletcher I would check that you haven't bent the base of the machine as this is a common problem. I would love you to leave your opinion on our poll about manufacturers building in obsolescence to appliances. kzread.infoUgkxygHomnUySd_bYjaJBdEHPO6T4dYo9Ahm and this is for you kzread.infoe432SAb2g08 please remember to subscribe as that's is what keeps this channel going. I have asked panda to send another mother board and they have not responded. The website doesn't show the motherboard to replace... now I have a non function dryer after warranty.. It has power just not starting when you touch the panel buttons. I need help to trouble shoot get it to start.

Have you found a solution to the issue with your dryer? Please share the solution you found if so. I'm so frustrated and frankly enraged that I've ended up spending innumerable hours online searching endlessly for a solution to this problem. This video has helped immensely as I've watched it several times and am much more familiar with identifying the internal workings of the dryer. BUT WHERE TO GET THE NECESSARY PARTS? Btw...there are very few appliance repair people who will even repair these so you either repair them yourself or take it to the dump. Unconscionable.

Hi...where did you purchase your control panel? It sounds as though that wasn't the solution after all. Have you resolved the problem at this juncture? Have you considered replacing the door switch? How about the fuse? I want to find a schematic diagram of the location of all the parts inside the dryer. Specific locations so I can see what's where!

the schematic should be on the side of the dryer.

I am like you. I want to fix it because it works great when it does work. I replaced the control panel and it did the same thing. I tried to order another motherboard just in case something burnt out on it. No response to any of my emails. I thought about replacing the door latch maybe its not making contact to signal it to start.
