Hi David. You are right in the videos everything seems easier. But this little piece is not exempt from difficulty. You have to have a more or less clear idea of what you want to do and then know where to start and finish because a error can ruin the job. A hug friend.

I love these videos, I spend the whole time looking at the 2 or 3 indents on the bed table thingy, where the tool gouged itself. I guess it makes me remember, nobody is perfect. Awesome anvil Raymond and thanks for documenting.

I love the cone on the end of the anvil. I spent the equivalent of 5 years at technical college and I was asking myself how are they going to make the cone when I first saw the finished product at the beginning I was thinking it has to be CNC or something and then I was stunned when craftsman's approach which is a simple hand file and a craftsman's hand can do it if you have the skills and the patience. Thank you for one of the best making channels on youtube.

Gracias Jose.Efectivamente es un trabajo de artesania con la ayuda de grandes maquinas que no estan diseñadas para este tipo de labores.Por eso es un reto construir piezas tan pequeñas en este tipo de maquinas.Saludos.

Un saludo, que barbaridad el trabajo a lima porque la maquinaria ya hemos visto que es usted un maestro, pero la lima......hay que tener muchas horas de lima para finalizar el trabajo sin cargárselo, afortunado el platero que se haga con el.

I see you are using some trick editing too, at 6:36 the body of the anvil was pointed on each end then at 6:41 one end was conical and again at 7:40 you show the filing of the point to the conical shape......see how much I love watching your videos, I am glued to the screen. Hi Gordon, at the time of creating a video of this type, many shots are taken during the work. A large part is discarded and the best images are chosen so that the video does not become eternal and heavy. The shots are placed as if the pieces of a puzzle were and once the video has been uploaded you see some error but it is too late to rectify. In short, the editing of the videos is a heavy and slow work but it can more the illusion and the hobby towards mechanics than any other difficulty. This little anvil has been a gift for a jeweler friend. I hope everything goes well for you. A big hug friend.

I have a small lathe. And enjoy using it. It still amazes me that you can cut metal so easily. M

Die Maschinen C.N.C. wir wissen, dass es sich um fortschrittliche Maschinen handelt und mit großer Leistung, aber sie lösen nicht alle Probleme. Am Ende wird es immer eine konventionelle Maschine geben, die uns aus vielen Unsicherheiten befreien wird. Danke und eine freundliche Begrüßung.

Los yunques de fundicion estan destinados por lo general a la forja y necesitan una dureza para resistir los golpes de piezas por lo general mas grandes y en un estado candente.Este es otro tipo de yunque destinado a trabajos mucho mas pequeños y precisos .Por lo tanto no hay comparacion posible entre unos y otros.Cumplen la misma funcion pero estan destinados a labores muy diferentes.Gracias y un saludo amigo.
