Loved your thrift haul. That photograph of the little girl was probably making her first communion.

At 2:12, I believe that that was the top of a huge fairy lamp in ruby red glass! (I'm guessing, bc I don't own a fairy lamp and have never even found PART of one...) Swoon! I would have bought it even without the bottom. I really LOVED so many of the items you looked at when you were at the yard sales: At 14:30 - an unusual flat round brass disc-thingy on feet (couldn't really see what it was, but it certainly looked to be vintage...!) At 15:00 - a small fancy pale blue ceramic planter. Loved the shape and the color! At 16:25 - some kind of round (looks like metal) pretty pastel pink-painted thingy. Could use it on your porch to sit potted plants on. I LOVE the shape! There were lots more treasures, but NO TIME for me, either! I sure do sympathize with you. 😔 Thanks for a very cool little thrifting trip... I've just found your channel, I SUBSCRIBED, and I'm looking forward to many more exciting adventures and fun finds with you!

I tell you what I do when I find a frame that doesn't have glass measure the frame and go to the dollar tree get a cheap frame with glass and you have a good piece of cut glass dirt cheap for your frame. I always love watching your channel thank you for sharing your finds and the ways you use everything to give us ideas for our homes.

I love watching your thrifting videos, the stack of plates you found at Goodwill made my heart skip a beat. I have looked forever trying to find them.... my Mother had that pattern. I have a few pieces but would so love to have more!

Oh my goodness. The metal case with the slides. I gasped! I’ve been looking for one of those with the slides for years. I would have totally paid to have you ship it to me…no kidding. I don know what size that frame is - the one without the glass, but you could probably just thrift a cheap frame somewhere just for the glass - I’ve done that before after breaking a piece of glass ! I saw a cute piece of white coral that I wondered if was real - I have several pieces of coral that I treasure - it is illegal now in most places to harvest coral so you don’t see it much - enjoyed your video ! ☺️

When I need a replacement glass for a picture frame I go to the Dollar Store!

You could add some antiquing wax or water downed brown paint to that plant basket/trash can that you wanted to be darker. Just an idea to make it more want u wanted

It's fun to put embroidery items in the frames too

*Danielle, an easy and economical way to replace the glass in your 8 X 10 inch gold frame (Or is it an 8.5 X 11 inch gold frame?) is to buy a Dollar Tree frame in the size of your frame and use the glass from it. You can attach the glass after cleaning it with a dot of hot Gorilla Glue in each of the 4 corners. Then insert your print, taping the print to the outer sides of the frame with painter's tape for easy removal later. Lastly, insert your cardboard backing with 4 dots of hot glue, followed by gluing a cut-to-size sheet of brown paper over the entire back of the frame to neatly finish off the back. If needed, attach hanging hardware to the back of your frame, and hang. I liked your idea of using Rub 'n Buff on your gold frames to spruce them up. 😉* *I just knew you would get the apron with the quilted square and the wicker chair❣️💙💕🤎 Both are excellent choices. 👌 Jackson and Lincoln sure seem to like their new back yard porch "perch"...they look appreciative, and it looks comfortable for them with the added pillow. It is lovely in its natural state, but it would also look lovely painted white or sage green if you were able to paint it with a paint spray gun from Harbor Freight or something similar so that you get coverage in all of the nooks and crannies. The paint guns at Harbor Freight are under $20, too.* *The baskets are perfect👌for trash🗑cans👌in your bathrooms. I have used baskets for trash 🗑 FOR YEARS. The key 🔑 for longevity is to ALWAYS line them with a plastic bag (check for holes 1st if recycling DT or grocery store bags) to keep them clean, throw out the trash very frequently and NEVER put any WET trash in them - even with a plastic liner, because you don't want a breeding ground for mold!* *I don't blame you for being disappointed that you couldn't yard sale for a longer period of time, but you found some nice things and didn't come home empty-handed❣️😁🤎👌*

@Dar Still Hunh! I never thought of using shoe polish on baskets - that's genius! I DO use shoe polish on wooden photo and picture frames, and it works wonders. Covers up all of those lighter dings and scratches so that you'll never even notice they're there! I love how rejuvenated they look afterwards.

@@cheryldavis8776 Cheryl, I use a old washcloth or flannel to rub shoe polish into outside of basket only If you do inside ,make sure to use a sealer, so anything inserted into basket won't pick up that stain over time with humidity changes.

If you want to age/patina your frame might I suggest a coat of black chalk paint then cover with rub n buff. Definitely gives it that vintage vibe and shouldn’t look like plastic

Haha my husband and I both hate cooking so I just mean we don’t spend a lot of time trying new things or making fancy dinners. We eat easy to cook meals. We use hellofresh a lot to.

Should be easy to find a cheap frame with glass to replace in the frame with no glass.
