At my community college they offer dorms for the students. Surprisingly, there were A LOT of students around my age when i entered into cc. My local cc actually has really good dentistry and cosmetology programs which is why a lot of students tend to attend. Also we have a couple of tiny towns surrounding us that many of the students come from and so they offer dorms for them if they're unable to drive that far every day. I don't stay in the dorms, but from my experience hanging out with the students staying there and the fact they have a ton of on campus events going on, it's basically the same experience as refular university, but way cheaper.

When you were online did you have to be on zoom or was it more like you do the work online and that’s it??

It depends! For both colleges I’ve attended you can choose to zoom or not to zoom. I prefer not zooming! But yes if you choose no zoom you complete the work yourself, with a zoom they really just go over the notes/readings. It is really down to however you learn best!
