This Music Of The Communication Towers From Metal Gear Solid 1 Used To Give Me Nightmares When I Was A Kid About 6 Or 7 Years Old On The PS1 Classic Hearing Snake Running Up The Staircase In Tower A Trying To Get Away From The Bad Guys To Get To Tower B And He Runs Up Tower B Staircase To Get To The Roof To Take The Helicopter Out That His Evil Brother Was Using To Destroy The Walkway And The Dish On The Roof Of Both Towers But Now I'm 29 Years Old And A Big Brave Man

Thanks for uploading all this amazing atmospheric stuff from MGS1! This one in particular...oh boy. There was always just something so unnerving about playing this part of the game in the middle of the night with the lights turned off. It really set the mood so well and THAT...is why I seriously love MGS1. It had such an amazing sound design still many years later it did this so well back in the day.

The sound of the hind is cool and unerving

Hey sweet

People want to talk about the ambience of the source engine games or Deadspace but for a tactical espionage action game... This ambience is very unnerving maybe its because of the stakes at hand and you do not hear the loud footsteps of the metallic stairs or the heavy pounding of an ambush squad chasing you up a tower... You cannot even hear a Hind D preparing to assault you...

Got a hand cramp here.

This is so comparable to silent hill... Would easily fit into that...

H.R Giger made a painting just like it. An endless shaft going down, with an endless staircase going down around the walls, and weird half humanoid tentacle things floating about in the void

Hmm its more of a rumour at this point I think? Not sure how I feel about it, without Hideo Kojima... If they did it with all the old voice cast I would probably check it out. Though we've already had one MGS1 Remake for the GameCube.

@@AtmosphericGaming I believe at least one of them has passed away, the voice actor for the arms tech president, the father of the voice actor for revolver ocelot. (PlayStation Version.) Don’t quote me on that though.
