With brand new leather. I sit the bag out on a sunny day for a few hours, then spray it down with the Apple Garde, leave it in my garage for 1-2 days and I’ve had my bags for years and no water stains. The leather will patina over time but it’s a slower process and the handles are easy to wipe down. Please keep in mind if you use your bag often to clean and retreat every few months.

Thank you for this video! I just got a vintage monogram canvas bag but it has a sticky residue on a few areas of the canvas and vachetta. What is the safest way to remove the stickiness without damaging it? Would a particular leather cleaner be recommended for this. It's almost like a sticky goo but has pretty clear edges to the ribbon of stickiness almost like tape lines?

Yes I always clean and condition my bags with leather cleaner. It keeps the canvas from cracking

Great video. I've had my Speedy for more than 20 years and didn't really treat it with anything. I used and abused it and it's still in a great shape. The only thing that bothers me is that handles became very dark. I may to use a scarf or something to cover them as the bag itself is still perfect. This why I like LV. Their bags last you a lifetime.

Moisturizing my bags is what I do to eliminate dryness and cracks. For my mono bumbag I moisturize the crease areas a little more to eliminate cracks.

I hope you feel better soon! the lining of my preowned toiletries 26 was nasty. it was all peely and sticky gummy. I ripped it out entirely, which I realize makes it no longer in "collectible" condition, but at least it's usable now. LMAO the life time warranty. just tell the little artesian man in the back it needs a free repair before he heads off to France to make all the bags himself. =) there could be a Fairy Tales book about LV with all the crazy rumors, I love it.

What are your thoughts on the Boétie? It’s one of LV’s newer bags, and it looks like it would be a great day to day purse since it’s so spacious. I personally think it’s cute, but others seem to be split.

I just received a PM for Christmas. How often and when should I start conditioning the canvas? I am so nervous about cracking. I’ll probably just use the bag in the evenings and on the weekends. It is stored in its dust cover otherwise.

A very wealth friend told me to use armour wipes on the bags she uses them on all her bags even Chanel

Loved the video & so happy I never used anything on my bags. Question I have the Artsy and the LV Tulieries. I love my Artsy. Do you recommend buying a bag insert, will it prolong the microfiber to deteriorate? Though I don't really love the Tulieries, wondering should I sell and get something I want. Honestly would like to get a good price for it but not sure what platform is the best to sell.

Hmm so from the CA’s we do not recommend it because the corners of the organizer might cause the bag to wear in those areas. That’s why no organizers are sold in store, we dunno what it does to the bag!

It’s a cleaner and conditioner in one.

When I first knew LV in 1990, my stewardess girlfriend convinced me to buy one because it had lifetime guarantee (back then). I bought a Noe in Switzerland. Used it for a couple of years and neglected it. Decided to replace all the leather but had no courage to ask for a quote in SG boutique and instead I opted to replace at a leather shop. Found out I would have paid less by about $500 if I had it repaired at LV boutique instead. I regretted not checking earlier. I would not have repaired if the leather did not have a hole, though😂. Thank you for an educational session again.😊

Yes, if it’s stored in an enclosed space, it will develop a smell. Please watch my Livestream on Wednesdays if you are shopping pre-loved. I can inspect them, unlike shopping online.

I bought a 1976 Montsouri pm from Japan. It was listed as and is in what they called A condition. It basically looks new. I am thinking that I should give the vachetta some conditioner because it’s has age, but don’t want to hurt the condition. What do you suggest?

Question, I got this pre loved LV monogram bag. Have taken it out during this summer heat, and I’ve noticed my bag get these white scuff marks. Internet says something about it being fat or what not. What’s your take on this? Is it considered a manufacture defect? Hand sanitizer? I have not conditioned the canvas as I am afraid to ruin it. Only have used natural baby wipes to clean the bag when I first got it. Anyway, I hope you’re having a great day. Hope to hear from you. Sincerely, a fan. lol

I am so devided about the vachetta. I like the vintage patina, but it could so easily become scruffy and look like something i want to puke at just from looking at it. I sort of expect a handbag from LV at that price to be very nice and the vachetta makes it so hard to appreciate the classic monogram Canvas pattern since it always almost comes with vachetta and the uncertainty of how it would wear over time makes it difficult for me to use and enjoy the bag

Yep. I’m sure This is why LV have introduced a few pieces with pre treated leather. Personally I really love the dark leather on the carryall pm pre treated look of the leather is more practical and it’ll darken evenly

I just sent a vintage badford bag in to repair, they are replacing the lining, I am so happy it can be repaired but it is going to be 300 to fix but if I don't I can't use it so, I am getting it fixed

Do you think the canvas has changed? I had a Meile that developed corner wear in 3 days of hardly using. I returned it. I was thinking of the Graceful but heard of corner issues in the canvas. My bag from 1993 has hardly any canvas wear and was used a lot.

I was at a outdoor party and watched a woman walk up to a bar and plop her Neverfull bag on the bar and walk away. I inched closer and closer to the bag to get a good look at it. Like, who does that with a bag? I commented to her that I liked her bag and she was shocked when I mentioned it was the Neverfull. Then she got a bit worried when I explained to her I used to resell high end luxury bags. Never touched her bag, but if it was fake I didn't care.... She avoided me the rest of the party. 😆😆

In my opinion she wasn't drunk. I think she was just showboating. It was my brother's former sister in law. A little tip for the subscribers on here, if you gou to a auction house and they have a high end bag ask them to see it. They are very friendly to unlock the case and show you the item.
