Hey Luke you are the champion, you saved my day. I got the check engine light after I filled up the petrol. After I watched your video I went straight to the car to undo the cover and put it back then started the car and the check engine light was gone. Thank you so much for your video ☺️👌👌🙏🙏

Hey, my check engine came on after I pumped gas. I hope the same quick fix but when i look at amazon, all the caps say A4 A5? no A6

Yea its a tricky code to fix but the gas cap is the best place to start

My light came on a day ago due to driving it probably 80miles over service due with mileage I just got oil changed today but haven’t driven over 80 with new oil change 😩 if it doesn’t reset i may need to go to mechanic or dealer to get codes reset and buy new cap mines broke off also 🥺 hopefully driving around a few miles it goes away

How do you clear the code?

I wonder if this is a same problem with the B9 rs5. I’ve had EVAP code coming up for a couple weeks (after clearing). Gonna try the gas cap theory first since I have to wait 2 months anyways.

@@imranriyaj9334 I never actually replaced the cap and the CEL turned off on its own a few days later. Weeks later it came back on, same code, and within 2 days it turned off again. So nothing to worry about. If the dealership was much closer I'd bring it in, but the car is fine and it'll be okay to wait a few months when I bring it in for servicing.

What scanner are you guys using for your audi. Try to use a normal scanner and did not work... lmk

Had to push in the gas cap with the same one and didn't have to buy one! Next time just put a little more pressure when getting gas and putting your gas cap back on!

So I don’t have a check engine light but I just scanned my car to see if anything would come up & I got this fault code, should I be worried? Can it get worse or anything like that?

I would say no since the check engine light isn’t on. Even when it does come on it’s still not a crazy big deal

Have the same code. Tried replacing the gas cap and it came back on after a few hundred miles

I keep getting the CEL after I replaced my gas cap o ring. I might just buy a whole new gas cap since my A5 is a 2013.
