What if there are some AP scores that I don’t want to submit? Do I still put that I took the test on whatever date but just not put my score or do I not include that AP exam at all?

You can just leave them off the common app! I didn’t want to report my AP Seminar score, so I just didn’t include it in the list altogether. Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions! :)

Okay so when listing activities i’m confused on how you would list them, for example.. I play alto saxophone and am in multiple ensembles with it and have different chairs/leadership positions per ensemble i’m in. Then I also play oboe and i’m in a couple ensembles with it and have different positions/chairs in each one. Also besides that i’m also doing a summer band camp and would that be listed separately? I would appreciate if you could help me understand how I would list these thank you!

Patrick Cannon Hi Patrick! I was in a similar position when listing volleyball as an activity. I put it as one category and did something like this: “Co-Captain, School Varsity Volleyball; National Club Teams” and in the description, I did bullet points and left a space in the middle to indicated that the first couple bullet points were for school volleyball and the last couple were for national club volleyball. Patrick Cannon Forgot to mention, I did a couple different summer camps as well, but didn’t mention all of them. If it is extremely significant, then feel free to put it separately if there is something extra it adds to your application that is different from your other band activities. Other than that, you could put it in the same box as a bullet point!

When you fill in the courses and grades section, do you have to fill in for all 4 years of high school or can you pick the ones you did better in? Also for the GPA part, do you have to put the average of all 4 years or only the last year? and is there a reliable source to convert scores from international schools to w/uwGPA n CGPA? I looked it up but the results are all different lol

Does reuesting for fee waiver(common app) by any means reduces our chances to get into the university?

Hey Jillian, thank you so much for your videos! They are so helpful! Does the common app submit your application to each school individually when you request it to? All schools have different deadlines for applying, and I am taking the SAT in October, November and December, but one schools deadline is in November. No one seems to know how this works...do you? Thanks so much!

Glad you find them helpful! You submit each application individually, and when you fill out your info for the application, it will tell you the due date. Most school’s regular decision are due around New Years, and early action/decision is due Nov 1st. Hope this helps!

Ok so you can keep taking the SAT all the way until the closing date of the last school you apply to? The schools you apply to who have closing dates in November would use your score then, but you could take it again in December for the other schools who have due dates in January?

If I took a-levels after highschool, is it necessary I mention it or I could just leave it out?

Hey Jillian, thanks again for the great videos. Do you know how Common App submits to each college? Can you change your essay/activities a little bit for each one? A few schools I want to focus on my sports and others more on academics. So if I taylor my activities towards sports and submit to one college, can I go back in and change it around, then submit it to others? Or if you change anything. will they send updates to the schools you sent to in the past? No one seems to know the answer to this question so I am hoping you do! Thanks again.

Hi!! So glad you like the videos! Yes, you can change them for each school you submit if you want! Just remember to change what you want when you submit to each school/change it back if you want to only change something for one school! :)

You don't need to, but if they ask you to do that after you apply, you need to show them (I don't think this can happen)

Okay and at last, how do I submit and application and proceed to pay? Like suppose i’ve completed my application and now where shall i head over to submit and application and proceed to pay application fee?

What does weighted gpa mean?

Do we need to give SAT or IELTS exam scores transcripts in here?is it mendatory?? because I haven't given these exams yet . Please reply

For the personal essay do we space our paragraphs in the text box because in the preview it automatically double spaces the paragraphs. It creates a weird gap between each paragraph?

I used the preview button the fix the formatting! So I got rid of the weird gaps because I thought it looked weird haha :)
