Commedia dell'Arte: Emotion
This film looks at ways of physicalising the primary emotions: joy, grief, fear, anger, surprise, love, laughter and how to use this in a performance rather than 'acting'. The film was made by Deborah May.

@@georginawily769 I do higher level theatre in the IB, and we have to study an older form of theatre, and then be able to act it out.
The fellow featured on this video was absolutely hilarious - wonderfully expressive and infinitely watchable. (Your new fans from Texas)

Thank you so much for this channel! Excelent support for my performing arts lessons! :D
Pause the video at 2:09. Go out of the living room when you enter it again turn the feeling on start on the off the list and work through all the emotion. You then train your mind to turn on the emotion when you enter a new room.
Aqui é a explosão na roça 💣💣

Hi t,there. U OO’
this is not emotions. this is mimicking emotions. it's an exterior work. merely a performance. "how to make the audience clearly understand -oooh, now she's angry/happy/sad-". acting means to perform an action, not to mimick or represent it.

It's exterior work that's exaggerated for use in Commedia Del Arte.

@@te9591 yes you're right, it's clearly targeted at standardized characters. it could pass as an exercise as long as the students don't exit the classroom with the idea "joy is represented like this", etc. on a higher level, teaching the students that emotions are the main point and focus in acting is incorrect.
