That first pack! I really like the art for those “face” or “profile” cards was really unsure at first but seen a few vids of them now and I like them

I mean from the perspective of one trying to “breakeven” based on after market sites dictating price of each pieces of singles can make u feel sad that certain cards are not matching up. But my perspective of value has always been how much they are before reprint. If not for wizards decision to reprint doubling season for example it would be $100 per piece instead of 60. Fierce guardianship would have been 70 instead of 35. I think the misconception here is when we are trying to add up these pricing of the post reprint price. As someone who has most of the cards in cmm before reprint, my mindset going in is not for value but to get those cards i want as a promotion to bling my current deck especially those that nv had a nice treatment.

If u r one of those players w a great library of cards and not looking to bling up ur deck, i agree with you that this set aint worth for u since if is mostly reprint! Wait for the next set! I think it is great for new players to get their hands on some of these staples in the format or someone like myself who likes to upgrade the art.

@houseofedh with all do respect, I disagree, i think it does somewhat of a disservice to both the game itself and new player because of the price point. while the artwork is quite nice, if you wish to bling out your deck as you say, your better off buying the singles you desire you ll save money. most singles like the Sol rings. arcane signed, command tower etc all come in cheaper precons or the previous iteration of cards like fact or fiction are very cheap, same with a bunch of the rares. don't get me wrong , all the reprints are welcomed but the price doesn't make it feel worth the investment and to some discourage the purchase Seeing the value of what they get in return. would the price be lower it would be a fantastic set. in my case on average 320$ taxes not included where I live, 4 collector boosters is excessive. especially considering the value of most cards will drop when more packs are opened.

@@jeremiahchamberlain4179 Except this attitude of "not all products are for you, let people enjoy things" is at least part of what contributes to Wizards jacking up the prices of products while simultaneously reducing the value you actually get for said products. Hating on individuals won't get us anywhere, but all the hate Wizards has received in the last few months is 100% justified, and I can't imagine possibly defending them.

Hard pass on retro land. I was there in 95.... give me nice clean new boarder cards lol. But it is great to have options
