Man, that looks so much more professional than the older versions of the hardware. I'll bet it's just as efficient as they were, though.

I agree. For a lot of people the Comma Three will probably need to have more features to justify the price. I think Comma will focus on making it worth the cost but don’t expect a huge difference short term.

@@LoganLeGrand sure I would consider C3 only when lights stop/start comes in, navigation on openpilot will work so it can take me point to point on highways changing roads on intersections on it's own. I bet it's at least year or two away.

2200 or 2800 bucks is a HEFTY increase in price. I guess, a lot of people will still choose comma 2 (which cost around half of this one).

Two will be supported for only a year from now also will not get many new features (because of narrow FOV)

@@emceh Thing is it will still function fine for years to come in its current form. As a recent comma two purchaser, no desire to upgrade.

The Comma Three is definitely the way to go if your budget allows. It will be supported with software improvements much longer than the Two and with the wide angle camera it shouldn’t have any problem with stop light detection.

@@LoganLeGrand I'm also thinking the 3 is worth getting into. Even if tbe 4 comes out and is substantially better this 3s hardware and somewhat modern processor should be a fantastic for years

Yes, but we have included a sleeker right angle cable with all comma threes.

Can someone explain how comma is able to do 360 camera view by only using the three comma cameras?

@@drahoot they actually use the driver facing camera to look out both sides of the car. I am not sure if they are officially claiming 360 view but I wouldn’t claim it if that is the case.

No, only for the navigation and eventual navigate on openpilot. Driving model doesn’t need SIM card or even GPS to work.
