It might be that he forgot but I also like the idea that wonderland mismatches the person they see at the end just to mess with people. It really heightens the uncertainty of the whole place

Edward is a Lich. That's not the same thing. Technically a Lich is a monster in the Monster Manual, now _ostensibly_ one can become a Lich with a ritual that creates a phylactery, but there are no rules for that, so as it is, a Lich is just a monster. A monster that, yes, very much can use weapons.

Just noting that elves automatically are proficient in certain weapons like shortswords and bows it comes as one of there racial features regardless of class. Plus dude is a Lich, if that doesn't give you plenty of time to learn a skill I Don't know what else does 😂
