Taako buying and using the knowledge book in Fantasy Costco to make a deal to buy The Flaming Scorpion Poison Sword of Doom. Taako is literally the most smartest player out the three.

    @@justsomeannoyingredpanda He also tricked Garfield the Deals Warlock twice in mercantile wits. The first time was giving him the spice for the sword, then the second time was Magnus smashing the gem he left behind for him to get back the sword again from the gem.

    @@hihi-gc3qii've always been under the impression his aloofness was more of an act, maybe so nobody starts relying on him and he can't disappoint people. but as the adventure goes on he gets more confident and invested into protecting the people he's come to care about.

    This is the episode where you can really hear Griffin feel terrible about how much he hurts the PCs at points but understands he has to make it happen or there would be no stakes

    We've all been there, as GMs. You do everything to hurt them and that sucks, but the suffering is just soooo sweet. It's especially fun when they enjoy suffering themselves.

    it's the fact that this arc is wholly built on suffering, torture and anguish, but that entire section of merle choosing what to give up had me dying laughing 😭

    Everyone saying Griffin is sadistic is completely missing the point and has probably never played d&d before. Without sacrifice and struggle there is no point in playing. Pain comes from life and how much you love living. That’s what makes it so important.

    I think the idea is prob you wanted to minimize suffering by any group by choosing trust, as they are only ones who will suck it up on the complaining and it'll affect boss fight difficulty at end. Also feel like theres foreshadowing on betrayal by cam given hi always choose forsake advice.

    I know that DM's are supposed to provide a challenging environment to keep the game interesting, but does anyone else think that Griffin is just really sadistic towards his dad and sibs during a lot of these later arcs of the balance story? I mean, it really feels like they get really annoyed with him and he couldn't care less and just continues to lay it on.

    Well like no one really sounds like they are having much fun this go around. I get its called the suffering game but to me it doesn't feel properly balanced between challenging with stakes but still fun. No matter what the players choose its shit and its just kind of a bummer :/

Also if the two elves live off suffering, why would they make it fun for the people. I think the suffering makes it more entertaining and how hard it is cuz if they were getting past the challenges easily it would be boring. It’s the best arc realistically

    I'm not really enjoying this arc that much. Yeah i know its suppose to be raising the stakes but its not coming across that fun and its reflected in the players none of them seem to be having very much fun this arc. The no healing thing is so stupid just seems like he is trying to kill them. And Having listened to all the episodes till now i stand by that Griffin is way harsher on Clint than the others and they all kinda gang up on him needlessly he's just too nice to really put them in their place. And yes i have played D&D before 2 different campaigns i am allowed to think Griffin is a bit of brat DM at times especially this arc.

    @@seb_beatz8407 griffin doesn't follow the rules lmao he changed the rules for his story which is fine but he still a bit bratty. Although at the end of the arc he allows the rules to bend quite a bit in their favor which does balance it out. I still just don't find this arc very enjoyable but thats just me. Listening to amnesty now

    I think that it looked like he was trying to kill them because he was trying to kill them it was his goal to make them suffer so he did just that make them suffer and try to kill them. Also them doing that is their family dynamic. I know that in my family my siblings and I all gang up on my Mom because we think it's funny and that's how our family works. And my Mom thinks it's funny to. Diffirent families have different dynamics. Also if Clint had a problem with how they were treating him he would have commented on it and had it revised or redid the episode. But that's just how I see it.
