I feel like people don't talk about this part much and how the thrall on these Grand Relics were just so...vicious. It's like seeing 6 rings of Sauron out in the wild and watching them tear friends, even families apart. And it's....heartbreaking. Slone and Hurly, Lucas and his mother, and Isaac and Jack. Friends and families, torn apart by a sash, a rock, and a cup.

God Griffin is so fucking good at writing villains. Especially since petals to the metal, they have all had trauma that made them highly sympathetic, while still being characters you can root against for the majority of the arc. It's a balance that I haven't seen done so perfectly anywhere else

You’re amazing!

Griffin is so good at the cut-offs. Everytime it amazes me more, but it's just so well done. And then the music that it cuts too? Spectacular and fits the theme of the episode gorgeously. I am engrossed and I love this world that has been and is being created.

This podcast is better than drugs, and I speak from experience.

There is Fantasy Grounds as well. It's free for players, but not free for DM's. The subscriptions for both Roll 20 is the cheapest, but FG have the pay once and free forever option that would be cheaper then Roll 20 in the long run. There is a VR MMO that have D&D in it, but I kind of forgotten what it's called. (I'm trying to catch up on the episodes)

My biggest critique of Griffin is that while he doesn't lack critical thinking ability, he's too quick to shame his players (more likely specifically his family) for coming up with unexpected things in the moment instead of adapting to them. He's absolutely artful at incorporating things they've said later on, but in the moment he almost panics if somebody comes up with something clever.

Its annoying how often and blatantly travis cheats and Justin's "cooler than thou" attitude can be grating but good ol clint and Griffin keep me coming back.

I honestly don't understand all the people who are so mad about cheating in a podcast. I get it a little but I feel most people are here for the story l, not the riveting dnd game play we can't see. Also Justin is great :(

@duppythepuppy2636 Don't get me wrong, I love all the McElroys. I guess the cheating just bugs me because I personally am a DM and also I feel it would be more dramatic to actually roll low sometimes instead of constantly pulling out clutch 18s. And I like Justin too but he will often disparage dnd and other nerdy stuff and act like it's beneath him even though he's a huge dork himself.
