Plenty of cnuts voted to remain. You can be sure of that. And moreover, these days, in the very real post Brexit world, continuing to bang on and on about the referendum, getting on for a decade later, makes people look bitter, out of touch and politically naive. BTW - I voted to remain. Residual, fundamentalist remainers are increasingly looking like the nutters, not the normal, non-racist, non rightwing, non jingoistic, working class people who voted to leave the EU that they so love to hate, in such a childishly binary, 'goodies and baddie', cartoon kind of way. smh Britain is no longer part of the EU. (Eurostat) UK GDP growth +0.3% Q1 ‘23 after a decrease of 0.5% Q4 ‘22. Yes Germany is in technical recession, but neither the EU or the Eurozone are, as you claim. One of the advantages of the the EU is that it is a huge collection of individual economies, so, while one might go into temporary recession, the rest of the zone is still in strong growth. If the UK goes into the recession (and the tories are pulling out the stops to make sure that happens), we only have ourselves for support. Please, leave your delusions of brexit’s success in the bin, stop thinking that just because some mendacious tory twat says something, that makes it true, and stop conflating statistics to try to make a point.😈

@@gnrseanra9070 From where I'm sitting, it seems just fine. At least compared to my homeland - the UK. The only thing that seems to be happening in England is high streets closing and bookies, Poundlands and pawn shops opening. A really disturbing thing though is that I'm really starting to notice how down at heel and unhealthy so many people are as soon as I land in Heathrow / Gatwick / Manchester. I live in Luxembourg, I have France, Germany and Belgium within a 20 minute drive in any direction, my wife is Portuguese and we spend about a third of the year at our appartment in central Lisbon. The English abroad are becoming increasingly easy to spot. They are starting to actually look poorer than the rest of us. Apparently Poland will overtake the UK in PPP and living standards in a couple of years, and I can believe it. Passed through Warsaw Chopin airport on my way to Cancun a few weeks ago, and it has an upbeat and optimistic air that I've not sensed in the UK for ages - and don't forget they've got a major war just across the border and they've taken millions of refugees. It's really depressing to watch the fall of my country from afar.

@@snarkybuttcrack Indeed. The word 'deliver' is a reference to the vacuous quasi management-speak that pollutes the language anyway but is a regular cliché from inept tory politicians. Brexit was/is merely a flawed policy. However, it was presented as a sacrosanct, ready-formed entity, organic, spontaneous & as natural as the weather: this pattern is jealousy guarded by brexit supporters despite the details of its demise or even the simple fluctuations of events. They are blind to the facts, deaf to criticism & furious with critics - the bbc are scared to even appear to criticise brexit. Brexit is toxic & it was always a mirage: it was born of arrogance, nostalgia, hyperbole & delusion & in the main motivated by a free market neo liberal capitalism veiled in the flabby conceit of 'English exceptionalism'. Have you ever think about the intention behind Brexit? Cui bono? Brexit as worked exactly as intended. England can now maintain is tax havens for the rich. That was the only political intention behind leaving the rules of the common market. The scrap of EU rules is to guarantee a no easy return path. The day the EU proposed ending tax havens the English politicians started talking about leaving the EU. Time Line: 2013 David Cameron asks the EU not to include UK offshore trusts in the EU wide crackdown on tax avoidance , the EU says “NO”. 2014 October Arron Banks donates £1 million to UKIP. 2015 October Vote Leave “let's take back control” formed. 2016 February David Cameron announces a referendum to leave the EU. 2019 EU anti-tax avoidance proposals published. 2019 EU anti-tax avoidance laws accepted by the EU. 2020 31 January 23:00 GMT UK leaves the EU. 2020 01 February EU parliament makes ATAD (anti-tax avoidance directive) EU law, which members have to introduce to national law. Brexit is complete, the single item on the agenda as been attained. Stewart Lee. My kindred spirit.
VERY late to the party, so I will offer my opinion of your work. It is pure gold.* Disclaimer: The value of gold may go up or down. Your ego may be at risk if you choose to invest.*
I am in management, I worked for an international company, managing teams from France, Canada, Brits, India, Mexico, Australia. And of all those teams, the Brits were the most insufferable. That have this weird high brow stubborness about them, even when it is to their detriment. And the Brits leadership were oddly enogh exactly like these jokes. Honestly, of all the countries that I did worked and managed teams, the Brits will forever be the worst for me and I would not take on a job that requires me to deal with them. Only enough, my German and French teams both got along with each other fine, but they can't stand thr Brits lol😅
Fucking brilliant

James Acaster is one seriously clever dude...
Stewart Lee is lethal
10:10 🤣🤣🤣
Considering the UK’s flagging performance in football, I strongly suggest calling to life a comedy world championship. You’d make 1st place by default.
Love, just not racist joke.
Brilliant and hilarious. ❤
Stewart Lee is a comedy god
Why do they that they left Europe. Britain has left the E.U , and only that.
You can't blame Brexit for racism that was always there.
It wasnt just racists who voted to leave 😂😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣

So nice
Having all this food for the comedians makes Brexit (finally) worth it. But how come that comedians are still so great where their classmates (the politicians) have become the joke.
Ive decided to drive down this road that leads over a cliff and will not change my mind.
